  I used the restroom and realized I left my wallet in the bathroom stall. I went back immediately and the bathroom was blocked being cleaned. When I told the cleaning lady I was coming back in she was completely defensive and rude said I was not allowed back in. I told her oh yes I was. And she started yelling for security. The hubby told me just go in. So I did. Wallet was not there. I waited til the rude employee left, I went back in to the bathroom and what do you know the wallet was in the cleaned out tampon bucket. My money was gone, along with some gift cards. License and already canceled debit was still there. Whomever is in charge of your cleaning people make them do the right thing!!! Check your camera’s you will see who it was! One bad employee will ruin for place. The 4 star rating is cuz your restaurant employees cared enough to listen and let us hang out while the cleaning lady stole from me!!

  I had in issue with my truck. I spoke with Braden & Tyler at the Truck Maintenance Shop. These two guys were OUTSTANDING!   Overall, and extremely great experience, but I expected nothing less, considering their own owned by the world’s largest truckstop in Iowa. Everything was clean, pretty good variety of fast food. Plenty of parking go to assortment of accessories if needed for the trucks and plenty of showers where we didn’t have to wait. If I had one thing they could approve on, it would be some of the signage outside showing where trucks and cars to separate versus entrances and exits, but overall great stop.

  I never thought I’d be writing a review about a truck stop but we were really happy to need to charge our car here! Inside is a wonderland for kids. My young boys were blown away at the semi trucks inside as well as the other vehicles. There were ample restrooms, a variety of food to choose from, and lots of fun kid toys to browse among the very real semi auto parts. Staff were friendly and welcoming. My 5 year old wants to revisit.

  Joplin 44 Petro is an awesome place to stop if you’re traveling along I-44. This is much more than just a truck stop—it’s a great travel center with something for everyone. They have a nice food court with lots of choices, a diner, clean bathrooms, and tons of shopping. You can find everything from truck accessories and gear to clothing, custom-made hats and T-shirts. They even have a full-size truck inside the building, which is pretty cool to see. Overall, it’s a clean, well-maintained travel center with plenty of food, shopping, and amenities. Definitely a great place to stretch your legs, grab a bite to eat, and take a break while traveling on I-44. Highly recommend stopping here!
