Update. When I return the car, Jamal is right there to take care of me just as he said he would be and I appreciate him giving me the time that he did. I’m always willing to adjust my reviews when things are taken care of properly. Jamal is a great asset to that company.
First of all - this review has NOTHING to do with Jamal Morris the Manager. He saved my situation from becoming the last time I would ever rent from Enterprise again.

My experience was
1- I made a reservation 4 days in advance using the pick em option. Yet when I arrived on time no car was available.
2. The very new staff handling this issue needed a strong support staff to help him through the inevitable questions I would have.
3. The man they deferred to before Jamal got there was in wrinkled pants, an unkept beard and looked like he was hung over.
4. During my 45 minute wait until Jamal got there no attempts were made to offer understanding service or say sorry.
5. THEN - Man walks in and stated he had the SAME KIND OF RESERVATION I did and yet again the new staff member was left telling him they don’t have a rental until Maybe after noon! He stated that making a reservation on line always goes through yet it doesn’t really reflect the availability at the time you reserve. This man was not healthy and was struggling due to some weight issues and he was stuck with No Where To Go!
Suggestions:
1. Get a better waiting area with a tv and water at the least!
2. Provide or train a number 2 next to Jamal so when he isn’t there someone is that can explain and make decisions to ensure happy customers and fluid operations!
I will upgrade this review after my return in a few days as Jamal should not suffer. If this store had 5 of him it would be rated as high a rating as possible. Hate leaving bad reviews but accurate reviews should be used to help those trouble areas. Here’s to seeing improvement and I’m sure Jamal will do his part!

Currently have a rental while vehicle is in a shop getting repaired. Have notified office 3 times that this car needs to go to shop and I need different car. Seems like they never have a different car avl. Hope I am not held responsible if this car breaks down they have need notified..

Reserved a pickup truck. When we arrived to pickup we were advised “they don’t have a truck I can tell you that right now” from the “manager”. Advised they had two Durango’s getting cleaned up and could call us shortly when it was ready. Got a call 20 minutes after we left that it was ready for pickup. Soon as we returned we noticed a man getting into a Durango in the parking lot that was a rental. We got inside and manager was nervous acting. Turns out they rented the Durango to another person that they’d promised us. After being advised the website had an issue showing vehicles ready and available he said he agreed it was a problem and that’s it. No I’m sorry. Nothing. I agree isn’t sufficient for false advertising. Thanks for no help. The only thing I agree with is that you did in fact have a Durango. Just gave it to someone else instead. I will not use this business in any state.

Very disappointing experience. Enterprise customer service confirmed a vehicle was available and completed my reservation, but when I arrived at the Joplin office, I was told there were no vehicles available.
It was nearly impossible to reach anyone at the local office directly, as calls were repeatedly routed to corporate, resulting in conflicting information. Upon my arrival at Joplin office, a representative was also dismissive and lectured me about how I should have booked days or even a month in advance. He also said customer service will always tell you there’s a vehicle available even though there’s not.
Unexpected transportation needs happen, and customers should be treated with professionalism and understanding, not made to feel as though they are being blamed for circumstances beyond their control.
Enterprise needs better communication between corporate and local office.

Reserved a car through their website— which is where they direct you you call th location. The website determines availability for the dates entered. Showed my options and I made my selection, receiving a confirmation number for my reservation via email along with precheck-in. I checked in, entered all my information and even received updates for my upcoming rental. When we arrived on the next day at the Joplin location— they looked up our confirmation number and then proceeded to tell us they had no vehicles available for us.
Why doesn’t their own website update that there are no available vehicles, instead of allowing you to make a reservation, a confirmation number and precheck-in booking to expedite the process.
I asked the agent if there is any communication between the website system and their local database and they said, “basically no” and then relayed “this happens a lot”. I asked if my confirmed reservation and pre-checking was basically worthless —and they said “yes, it’s null and void, it means nothing… we are here to manage the chaos.”
It is odd their online reservation system lists rentals available and confirms a reservation only to have you arrive early only to tell you in fact there are no rentals available.
This is the second time at a different location (Salina, KS & now Joplin, MO). This a clear issue at many levels— Enterprise’s website is basically deceiving people into believing they have a confirmed reservation — only to have them drive to the Enterprise location and then be told their confirmed reservation is worthless, null and void.
If you can’t trust the organization’s word — Confirmed/Reserved— what good is doing business with Enterprise? Those are just meaningless
They clearly do not care about customer service or satisfaction at the most basic level of fulfilling a confirmed reservation.
This would all be solved if their website simply networked with their local databases to determine actual vehicle availability.
This will be the last time we even attempt to make reservations with Enterprise. This is chaos that is continually being mismanaged on multiple levels.
If prior experience is any indicator, an AI generated response named Christina or Chris will reply and invited me to interact with a dead end chat link. Further proof they are not serious about customer service at any level.
