They charge me for brake that I already had done .they were supposed to fix the caliper and never show the price of it. They over charge me. Even the manager said so but they charge me anyway.
- RDRobin DeesJul 20, 20262.0My son made a 10am safety/emission inspection appt a week in advance at the Carx on W. Flo/Lucas & Hunt. When he got there he called me to say he was walking to my home to wait because I live nearby. I took him back around noon, he said the truck had been moved so he thought it was done and went in to pay because he had to be to work at 2pm. He called a few minutes later and said it had not been done. I asked him did he know why. He said they only had one mechanic and they had to call the police on a customer. The purpose of an appt is so you don't have to wait three hours after your appt time. When they finally got around to doing the inspection you know how it goes. They failed the safety and quoted a high price to fix it and he was late for work. The next day he got a quote from a different shop that was half the price. It seemed like an attempt to gouge because Carx knows when they lock a customer in on a failed inspection they have to come back to them like a forced relationship. Franchises (Carx,Dobbs,Jiffy etc) tend to be profit driven and not customer friendly or customer service oriented. So I'm not sure why he chose to go there. I have lived here for 22 years and have never gone there. My son is laid back and would never write a review. However, I think it's important for customers to know other customer experiences so they can make an informed decision and for company improvement. When he goes back we will see how it goes. Hopefully, I can come back and modify this review with something more positive.
