  TLDR: Good sales team, good initial purchasing experience. But once money has exchanged hands, don't expect them to help you any further. And getting warranty issues resolved is worse than pulling teeth! So... ...we bought a pop-up camper from Camping World in Columbia in June 2026. The sales team did great and were very friendly and accommodating. We agreed to the terms that we'd buy the trailer, but a mattress needed to be replaced by warranty since there was a stain that couldn't be removed. It was agreed that they'd ship the replacement mattress to my home. After money exchanged hands, all of a sudden it seemed as though we didn't matter as a customer anymore. We had made our purchase, bought a few accessories that we needed, then we were stuck waiting. We had to ask the sales team multiple times where our trailer was so that we could drive the 3 hours home. After about a 30 minute wait in our car, our trailer was finally brought out to us. No one showed us how to hook it to our hitch, no instructions, nothing. Luckily, we figured it out ourselves...but it seemed very unprofessional to sell a camper to a first time owner but not show us how to hook up. So, now onto the mattress replacement. Between June and now (end of September), I had called Camping World a minimum of 6 times. At first I was trying to figure out if the mattress was on the way...which it wasn't. I was told they'd call me back when they had more info...but I never got a call. Then later when I called and finally found out they got the mattress ordered, I assumed it would be delivered to my house...it wasn't, it went to their business address. So then they told me they'd ship it to me and they'd call when they made arrangements...again, they never called. Weeks later, after still not receiving the mattress or a call from them, I called them back to find out what happened. I was told they shipped it and they'd send me the tracking number...but I never received a tracking number from them. Then, weeks later again, after not receiving the mattress, I called back again. Turns out that it hadn't shipped and it was just sitting in their warehouse. I was told that FedEx wouldn't pick it up because it was too big. So, at this point I'm very frustrated, because it looked like the only option was for me to drive the 3 hours there just so I could pick it up...and that absolutely was NOT what was agreed upon. I insisted that it be delivered to me, like was promised. So, they eventually got it to FedEx and I got a tracking number. HOWEVER, I did tell them that they needed to schedule the delivery for Monday, as we wouldn't be at home from Friday thru Sunday. And, now after receiving the tracking info, the mattress will be delivered on Friday...when we won't be home until Sunday! So now I either have to pay extra to FedEx to schedule a delivery date, or find someone who can pick up the mattress from our house while we're gone... because it's supposed to rain this weekend, and if this mattress gets ruined after I've had to spend MONTHS trying to get it to my home, I'll be furious! So, if you've made it this far, this is all just to say that we won't be using Camping World to buy campers or accessories ever again. I'm just praying that our camper doesn't have any other warranty issues that will force me to deal with Camping World again. It was like pulling teeth just to get them to fulfill our agreed upon terms when we purchased.

  What an awesome experience! We bought a used travel trailer and was treated like we bought a million dollar RV! From Heidi all the through our service questions on to Finance Manager to General Manager…. Top Notch! There was a glitch and they worked it out! Gave us everything we needed! I will recommend them to anyone!

  Literally the words experience I have ever had purchasing anything! If zero stars was a option that is what they would get! We purchased our camper in June, paid in full and were told we would be getting “special order parts” Which took over a month to receive and they are the wrong parts. We also just got our title, this is August. They hadn’t gotten the prior owner to sign the title in the correct spot and had to send for a POA paper In order for us to legalize our camper. It took them 2 months for this to get finished and send to us. Every time we try to call for any help they have some kind of excuse, take a message and never call us back. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

  My wife and I were in the market for our first Motor Home. Our research sent us to see a used one at the Columbia, MO location. We ultimately ended up not buying a rig from Camping World however, I wanted to take the time to mention our salesman Yance. He was very kind patient and knowledgeable. Being first time RV'ers we didn't know what we didn"t know. Yance took the time to explain features and benefits of several units they had. Took us for several test drives, even stayed after closing. If we had found a rig we wanted I would have bought from Yance. No question. And no, were not related. I just appreciate his professionalism in an industry that gets a bad wrap. If you happen to read this and are in the market, give Yance a call. He is truly a professional, not pushy at all, just the opposite. Camping World is lucky to have him.

  I made an appointment at Camping World in Columbia, Missouri for repairs to my class C motorhome on August 3rd, 2026. The service advisor, Jim Noble, was helpful and insured I was satisfied with the repairs. The technician was also dedicated to doing the repairs correctly and promptly.
