  I manage the repairs for 5 vehicles. Other local shops nearby have screwed or tired to screw me multiple times such as Plaza Tire Ballwin and Dobbs Ballwin. I started researching other shops in the area and this one had good reviews and everyone was talking about Jeff. The service advisor at the counter is one of the most important things and whether a shop is good or bad. Jeff is honest and does only the work needed and actually seems to care about the customers. No high-pressure, full shop capable of everything including engine swaps. They are convenient and trustworthy.

  Jeff is a great manager and is excellent to work with. At this CARx you with find great customer service, which is the opposite you get at other big name shops. Rather than high pressure sales for stuff you don’t need, Jeff lets you know the condition of your car, what he recommends to protect your investment and then lets you decide how you would like to proceed. This CARx location has earned my business, and more importantly, my trust.

  Ladies!!! If you are looking for an honest mechanic someone who will take good care of you and treat you like you’re family and not like you were just born yesterday… Car-X Tire and Auto is the place to go. I will never take my vehicle anywhere else after today. I typically dread taking my vehicle into the mechanics because I know that some guy is going to tell me about how my car absolutely needs this service or that service or that it needs this repair or that when I know damn well it doesn’t. I always leave feeling taken advantage of and my wallet takes a hit. I have never been to this Car-X ever and from the moment I walked in there I was treated like I had been a customer for ever and ever. Jeff treated me as though I was a member of his family. He was incredibly nice and made me feel comfortable right away. The district manager was there and he was also very kind and made me feel at ease immediately. Now I was only here today to go and get an emissions test for my vehicle so that wasn’t that big of a deal but when I asked them for some pricing on getting an oil change and my tires rotated, I couldn’t believe what I heard. Compared to what I am paying currently at the place I’ve been taking my car (ahem Kia …) Car-X is half of the price - no joke and I get far better service and the people are so much nicer. They were fast and efficient and I I left smiling, which is saying something because usually when I leave the mechanics, I am not smiling because I’m broke. From what I have experienced, I would recommend this particular location to anyone that I know especially my lady friends if you wanna go and take your vehicle somewhere where you’re not gonna be treated like you’re an idiot or that you were born yesterday and you don’t want to be overcharged then take it here. Ask for Jeff. He’s amazing. He’s been doing this for 20 years and his other mechanic has been there 16 years so that’s saying something! Customer for life! Thanks for making this an enjoyable experience!

  I made an appointment for a simple emissions inspection that should have taken 10 minutes . When I showed up the employee told me it would be a while and I should either drop off or come back another day. I would have expected a courtesy call instead of letting me get all the way there for my appointment.
