My recent experience with Tommy's Car Wash has transformed a routine service into an infuriating ordeal, resulting in catastrophic damage to my brand-new 2026 Dodge Ram and an utterly unacceptable corporate response. Within minutes of its first wash, my vehicle emerged with deep, identical scratches marring the entire side, from the front headlight to the rear taillight, a pattern unequivocally identified by St. Cloud Collision Center as consistent with abrasive contact from car wash equipment, estimating repairs north of $10,000. Despite this clear evidence and my exclusive use of Tommy's facilities for both my new Ram and Charger under a monthly membership, their corporate office, with astonishing audacity, issued a form letter flatly denying responsibility, absurdly suggesting the damage was somehow my fault. This blatant disregard for customer accountability, forcing me to bear a $500 insurance deductible for their negligence, is not merely disappointing but a profound betrayal of trust, especially from a business I once perceived as customer-service oriented. Consequently, I am canceling my long-standing membership and have initiated a USAA insurance claim, fully expecting them to recover costs from Tommy's, as this egregious incident has irrevocably shattered my faith in their service and integrity.
Edited July 13th at this point in time I haven't gotten any cooperation from Tommy's car Wash. I've even gone as far as asking for their insurance information they won't provide that all they'll give me is a corporate website and a corporate phone number that addresses you to basically a site or leave a message can't get a hold of anybody and they won't give you a number to talk to anybody at corporate. Complete runaround. At this point in time I'm even considering getting the Waite Park police involved because it was their equipment that damaged my vehicle. I've had to turn this into my insurance company and now I have a claim I believe that Tommy's should at least compensate me for my deductible and compensate me for the increase that I'm going to have on my insurance policy due to having a claim now.
Update got the vehicle back it looks wonderful. I got to think Saint Cloud collision center for such a wonderful job. So next steps get the full bill from the insurance company. Get the pictures and videos from Edie Dodge Ram Chrysler in Way Park Minnesota where the vehicle was prior to going to the car wash where they take pictures all the way around the vehicle prior to you leaving after service. Then take that information fill out the paperwork for a small claims to go back after Tommy's for the damages to the vehicle. They didn't even turn it into their insurance they just decided to deny the claim. And then after I win take my administration fees the court fees and everything out of it and then turn the rest of the money over to the insurance company so I have no longer a claim against me for damages.
