  I had the best service ever at the Robbinsdale CarX. Dillon is excellent in knowing every little thing about cars and trucks. Very impressive. His assistant is also knowledgeable and kind. I am so happy to have car x close by.

  Was in for a transmission replacement. The use part supplier sent multiple transmissions that were not good. Dylan battled to get me a good one and refused to install a subpar part. These guys really stood behind me to get it done right.

  Overpromised, and Underdelivered: I initially brought my car to the shop on a Tuesday afternoon (after first calling to confirm someone could quickly glance at it to help determine next steps) as I had discovered a bubble starting to form on my front driver side tire. I talked on the phone and met in person with Daniel who quickly came out and diagnosed the issue when I arrived at the shop. Ultimately I decided to go with what Daniel suggested and replace both front tires (they were pretty worn out and needed to be replaced, bubbling issue aside). That's not the issue though. After this diagnostic, Daniel placed the order for the tires (which he said would be delivered by end of day Wednesday) and I scheduled my follow up appointment to have the tires put on as soon as they opened on Thursday (two days later). I showed up a few minutes before 8 AM on Thursday and waited in my car until 8, which was when the 'open' signs lit up on the office. I then got out of my car to go in and drop off my keys. The door was locked, and the office lights were completely dark, meaning they weren't 'open' even though their public hours say they're open at 8 AM and the signs lit up in the office. I stood outside, with my child in her stroller, waiting for about 30 minutes for someone. Finally Daniel showed up to open the shop. No problem, I said, as he told me he ran into some traffic on the way to work, happens to all of us. I went in with the stroller (because it was raining outside...) and waited for Daniel to accept my keys so he could complete the job. I asked for an estimate of how long it would take (since I was now without a car and would have to walk home in the rain with my child and I wanted to know if I should just stick around and wait or not) and was told it would take no longer than an hour. Perfect. I'd just run home quick and wait a few minutes before coming back. I waited until an hour had passed and then began the walk from my house back to the shop. When I arrived at the shop (which was right around 10 AM) I saw that my car was in the same spot that I had parked it in and the new tires had not yet been put on my car. Rather than just turn around and go back home, I wanted to check to see how long they thought it would be before they got to my car. I walked in again with my stroller (because it was still raining) and asked Daniel, who was at the desk, if they had a chance to look at my car yet. Keeping in mind the fact that I had scheduled my car to be seen at 8 AM two days prior, I was quite frustrated when he said they hadn't looked at my car yet. He didn't offer any timetable as to when they would get to my vehicle, citing that they only had one available bay as the reason why it was taking so long (Was that not something you knew earlier? Why are you only able to use one of your multiple bays? I guess those answers don't really matter, but it's still frustrating). I finally received the call saying my car was finished at around noon and I immediately went to pick up my vehicle and pay for the service. When I did pay, I was given $30 off the tire replacement service (10% of the total bill) to make up for the long wait I had to endure. While I am satisfied with how well the folks at CarX did regarding the actual job of replacing my tires, what I am not happy with was the customer service. There wasn't any sense of urgency to honor my scheduled appointment, or really go above and beyond to keep me (the paying customer) happy. I was the first person in the shop when they finally did open (30 minutes late) and was optimistic that even with the late opening they would get to my car first and do it well and in a timely manner, something that did not happen. I've had many positive experiences in the past with CarX in Robbinsdale, which is why I've kept coming back. But with this interaction it was definitely a case of overpromising and underdelivering. I'm going to be hard pressed to come back to this shop as a result of this really poor experience.
