  If I could give it no stars, I would.This was my third stop at an AutoZone to get an a/c vacuum pump. My local store on 63rd and Brooklyn Boulevard was showing one available last night, but it was rented by the time I got there today. They said Brooklyn Blvd and Zane had one. They did not. I was sent to the Robbinsdale Store, which had one. The young man who waited on me did not know what an a/c manifold gauge was, which was understandable given his youth. When he brought me the pump, it had oil all over it and the bottle of oil that comes with it had less than 1/4 teaspoon left. The pump was not filled to the fill line and there was insufficient oil to get it there. He continued to tell me that it does not come with oil even though the case has a place for the oil bottle. I should point out that I have rented this from AutoZone on at least four other occasions over the years, but not this store. The manager came over and continued to tell me that it does not come with oil. When you buy the tool (which you will do if you do not return it) it comes with oil. She wanted to sell me a bottle of oil. Why should I have to replace the oil because the previous customers used it all up. She then told me that the pump could not be rented because it didn't have everything with it. This is not the way to provide good customer service to a long-time customer who spends lots of money with my own local AutoZone. I will never patronize that AutoZone again. I will have a conversation with the general manager of the store and the regional manager on Monday. As a business consultant, I know it is hard to find help right now but these employees should be trained more thoroughly in what to do in these situations.

  Junk tools and nowhere do they explain that once you buy them you can't return them unless you look at the fine print on the receipt. Remember when you bought something and they sold it to you and you kept it because it worked? That's not how things work here anymore they just hope that you open it and before you realize it doesn't work at all for what you needed to do. Snap ring pliers should be able to do snap rings and if they're adjustable they should be able to reach things. If you sell tools you should stand behind them and if they're designed like crap and the tools won't do the job you should stand behind that too and take them back. I'm left with snap ring pliers that I will never use cuz they're too fat to fit into anything I don't know what they are designed for but it wasn't for working on cars.
