I had an oil change at Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Oakdale and left disappointed with the accuracy of the service checklist. My invoice stated that washer fluid was checked/filled and tire pressure was checked, with my tires listed at 32 PSI. I’m not sure how that was determined, because no one physically checked the tire valves with a gauge or touched the tires at all. Immediately after leaving, I received a washer fluid warning, even though my receipt says washer fluid was “added.” That strongly suggests it was either not filled or not properly checked. I was preparing for a road trip the next morning and had to make an extra stop to buy washer fluid and check my tire pressure myself, which was frustrating and avoidable. What concerns me most is not just the washer fluid or tire pressure—it’s the trust factor. If maintenance items are being marked as completed and specific tire pressures are being documented without being physically verified, it makes me question what else may have been overlooked. I expect the basic maintenance items listed on the invoice to actually be performed. Based on this experience, I would recommend customers verify all fluids and tire pressure before leaving.

Always the most fun and cool team of guys! And on top of the entertainment, they do a great job on the oil change!

Seville was great, helped me reset my oil light, put air in my tires and made sure they were at the right pressure and also topped off all my other fluids. Customer Service was great, and he’s also a very handsome man.

Pretty frustrated right now. I came in about half an hour before close for an oil change (I know it’s poor timing, but that’s all my schedule would allow), and they got it done in about 15 minutes and sent me on my way with no issues. Then I went to the grocery store for about 30 minutes, and when I got on the freeway, I heard something dragging under my car. Stopped and saw that there is a metal plate hanging off the bottom of my car and dragging on the ground. I called the phone number and spoke to somebody named Felix who said it was probably just a kick plate and that if I come back, they would be there ready to fix it for me. I was surprised because I thought they were closed but I figured maybe they were still cleaning up or something because he sounded very sure of it. So I put some duck tape on it to prevent further damage, and headed back to the shop. When I arrived, the lights were off and nobody was inside. I called them back and spoke to a different person who said that the store is closed and that Felix should’ve never given me that information because he doesn’t work at the physical location. It sounded like they both work at the nationwide call center. She also said that all customer concerns need to be documented by the customer support team, so it was strange that Felix didn’t go that route. Ended up on the phone with the customer support team and they documented the case and said that they can’t give me any further information because I have to wait for the physical location to get in contact with me. So now the bottom of my car is duck taped together, and I barely feel safe enough to drive home let alone to work tomorrow. I don’t think I even made it a mile up the freeway before I put the duck tape on, but it looks like there’s permanent damage to the metal plate already.
