  Drop-off and pick-up was straightforward and easy. I recommend completing all necessary check-in paperwork via the app ahead of time to minimize the amount of time it takes to drive off with your rental.

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I rented a vehicle from SIXT in Chicago for a one-way trip to Minneapolis. Before leaving the parking garage, we took photos of the vehicle and documented damage that was already present. We drove the vehicle for approximately five hours and turned it in the same day. At drop-off, the attendant walked around the vehicle, told us everything looked good, and said we only owed for fuel. We then signed the return paperwork stating there was no change in the vehicle's condition from when it was rented. A few days later, SIXT sent us a bill for nearly $1,000 for a small scratch on the edge of a door, approximately 2-4 inches long. When I called customer service, the representative acknowledged there was pre-existing damage on the vehicle. Ironically, that was the same damage we had photographed before leaving the rental lot. Despite having photos and despite signing a return document stating there was no change to the vehicle condition, SIXT continues to claim I am responsible. The dispute process feels designed to wear customers down. Long wait times, repeated explanations, and no willingness to acknowledge the signed return paperwork make it extremely frustrating to deal with. My family and I have rented dozens of vehicles over the years from multiple rental companies and have never had a damage claim filed against us. This has been by far the worst rental car experience we have ever had. If you rent from SIXT, take detailed photos and videos of every inch of the vehicle before leaving the lot and keep all paperwork. Even then, based on my experience, you may still find yourself fighting a damage claim after being told the vehicle was returned without issue. DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL COMAPNY!!!

  I had a great experience renting from SIXT. Even though I arrived 3–4 hours late due to a severe storm, Donald and the management team were very understanding and accommodating. Their professionalism, patience, and willingness to help made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Donald was especially helpful, courteous, and customer-focused. Thanks to his assistance, I was able to get in and out quickly and left completely satisfied with my rental experience. Another big advantage was the pricing. Compared to other car rental companies, SIXT offered very competitive rates without compromising on service quality. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for excellent customer service, fair pricing, and a hassle-free rental experience. Thank you, Donald, and the entire SIXT team! 🚗👏
