  1 star for the new car showroom, 5 stars for pre-owned — two very different experiences at the same dealership. I'm currently a Volvo owner (XC60 T8, purchased fully loaded for $70k) and went in today between 5–6 PM to test drive the new EX30 and a used XC40. My visit to the new car showroom was disappointing. The young man who greeted us seemed to size us up based on our clothing and treated us dismissively from the start — it felt like he was trying to rush us out rather than help us. As a loyal Volvo owner considering another purchase, I left feeling judged and unwelcome, which is not the kind of experience I expected. However, I want to be fair: when we moved to the pre-owned side, Mike completely turned things around. He was attentive, respectful, and genuinely helpful — a 5/5 experience. Mike is a credit to this dealership, and none of my frustration reflects on him. I'm sharing this so other Minnesota shoppers know to ask for someone by name (Mike, if you're looking at pre-owned) and so management is aware of how the new car showroom is representing the brand. I'm even reconsidering my own Volvo ownership after how this visit made me feel

  I had an outstanding service experience with Chris at Polestar Minneapolis. He was incredibly professional, patient, knowledgeable, and thorough in explaining exactly what was going on with my Polestar 3. What impressed me most was his communication throughout the entire service appointment. He kept me informed every step of the way, answered all of my questions, and made sure I fully understood the issue and the resolution process. Chris truly went above and beyond to get my problem resolved, and his dedication to customer satisfaction was evident from start to finish. It's rare to find someone who combines technical expertise with such excellent customer service. Chris is simply the best! If you're bringing your vehicle to Polestar Minneapolis, you're in great hands with him. Highly recommended!!

  I had a fantastic experience buying a car from Susan Tadewald at Borton Volvo. I was comfortable and cared for from moment one through weeks after the car purchase. In an arena usually charged with ego, testosterone, and mansplaining, Susan was a breath of fresh air. She brought ease and joy to the process like I’ve never encountered before. I highly recommend Borton Volvo- thank you Susan!

  July 2026 - My wife and I had been looking into the purchase of a new vehicle for a while and had just begun the process of going to dealerships. We are in our mid to late 60s in age and had been through this many times before, both domestically and internationally. Our first, and as it turned out our last, stop was at Borton Volvo. Before entering the dealership we knew the car that we were interested in and how it compared with others in its class, so we were equally as interested in the buying and dealership experience as we were in the actual car. The people at Borton sealed the deal with us almost immediately through honesty and a no-pressure buying experience. Everyone that we interacted with was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Todd Fuzzey in New Car Sales was exceptional and answered every question that we had and helped us think through our options. I highly recommend that you talk to Todd if you are considering a new Volvo. When we went to pick up the vehicle a few days later we received an overview of the systems and vehicle operation by Volvo Genius, Dag Heinen. Dag did an excellent job and has the patience of a saint when working with likely his thousandth mature couple regarding system setup and operations. Kathy Crupi, Business Manager in the financial area helped us through what is always a tedious and time consuming process in record time. I have also had the pleasure to work with the Service Department in the one month since our first visit when having a trailer hitch installed. Adam Johnson shepherded me through the process and everything was handled on-time and as-promised. I can highly recommend Borton Volvo.
