Brand new camper, zero quality control, and fraudulent repair claims - purchased a brand-new 2025 Heartland Pioneer camper off the showroom floor in June 2025 from Camping World. In the 16 months I have owned it, I have only been able to use it twice due to a nightmare of unresolved service issues and broken promises. The First Repair Attempt:Right after delivery, I noticed several issues: spinning storage locks, a cracked light fixture, a missing electrical plug cover, and rust on the frame and ball hitch. On our first trip, the hot water heater flooded the electrical area due to an unopen valve. I dropped the camper off in early October. They held it past Christmas, charged me $100 to winterize it since they took so long, and told me everything on the list was fixed. It went straight to winter storage.
The Second Failure:
On our first trip the following season, we discovered absolutely nothing had been fixed. The plug cover was missing, the hot water still didn't work, and all three tank sensors were completely broken. When I called for help, a Good Sam technician looked at the service history and was embarrassed. He explicitly confirmed that the service team never replaced the motherboard and completely failed to test the system before returning it to me.
The Management Bullying:
After driving three hours one way to drop it off a second time, they tried to force me to pay a $200 extended warranty deductible for items they failed to fix the first time. Nobody mentioned a deductible until they emailed me the final invoice. I had to fight management (including Jake S.) for a week. He argued with me, dismissed the issues by saying a camper is just a "house on wheels," and aggressively tried to force me to pay for things that should have been covered.Save yourself the massive headache, the wasted money, and the hundreds of miles of driving.
Do not buy from this location. Their service department does not test their work, and their management will try to bully you into paying for their mistakes.

Where do I even start?
The sticker price on our camper was around $11,500, yet somehow we walked out with an approximately $18,000 loan after all of the additional products and services that were added on.
One of those upsells was supposedly a protective coating for the camper. I seriously question whether it was ever applied based on how quickly dirt and grime stuck to the exterior afterward.
They also “forgot” to clean the camper before we picked it up and told us they would refund us $200 because of it. That refund took THREE MONTHS and FOUR separate phone calls from me before I finally received it.
To make matters worse, they didn’t even de-winterize the camper before giving it to us — at the beginning of summer. The first time we went to actually use the camper, things weren’t working properly. I ended up having to figure it out myself, take some things apart, and turn valves back on that were still set for winterization. You would think making sure the camper is actually ready to use would be part of the basic delivery process.
Then I brought the camper back to have an LED strip light replaced. While it was there, they parked it on a dirt mound and bent one of the support jacks. Nobody mentioned the damage to me. I discovered it myself.
On top of all of this, nearly every time I have called after the sale, the employees sound irritated or annoyed that I’m even asking for assistance.
I will say the initial sales experience was smooth. Unfortunately, everything after signing the paperwork has been a completely different story.
Between the massive jump from the advertised price, questionable add-ons, failure to properly prep the camper for summer use, poor follow-through, damage to my camper while it was in their possession, and the overall customer service afterward, my experience with Camping World has been absolutely terrible.
PLEASE LISTEN AND STAY AWAY!!
I'll be calling my insurance company and the BBB. I've called daily for a week and have gotten nowhere. The "work" that was completed was NEVER done! This is fraud to any insurance company. I've even gone into this establishment, talked to a service tech, and waited over a month for a return phone call about issues, and still nothing. In this type of community, RVing is all about finding the best place for repairs. I travel from Minnesota to Texas. This place is not being spoken of favorably.
