I came in for an oil change today and had a disappointing experience. When I was asked if I had any coupons, I presented a previous receipt with typed comments stating “50% off oil change.” This discount was given to me after a prior visit where I waited an extremely long time because the staff misplaced their 32mm socket, left to buy a new one, bought the wrong part, and I had to continue waiting even longer.
When I showed this discount to Terell, he immediately said, “That’s not a coupon, it doesn’t have a barcode.” I explained that while it wasn’t a coupon, it was a documented discount given to me because of the previous inconvenience. He then told me he wasn’t going to honor the 50% off and added that the employee who issued it “doesn’t even work here anymore.”
I told him that had nothing to do with me or the experience I had and doesn’t change the fact that this is the same company, and the commitment was on my receipt.
After going back and forth, he finally said he would take 25% off. At that point, to avoid further argument, I agreed — but I made it clear that they were losing a customer over $35. Terell didn’t seem to care and continued giving attitude through the rest of the transaction.
To make matters worse, the basic service checklist wasn’t even completed. My filters were not checked, my windows were not cleaned, and I have no idea what else was skipped.
Overall, the customer service was poor, the written discount was not honored, and the quality of the service itself was questionable. I won’t be returning.
