SPRINGTIME MAINTENANCE FOR SMOOTH RIDES AHEAD

Batteries

Cold weather takes its toll on batteries. Now that winter is behind us, stop by for a free battery check to make sure your car has the power for smooth operation in the springtime weather. If you need a new one, we carry batteries with proven tough coverage from Duralast, plus performance options like Optima and Odyssey and economical buys from Valucraft. We have everything you need to keep your car powered all year long.

Brakes

Springtime brings sunny days and much needed rain. Stop on a dime year round with brake system maintenance. Reliable stopping starts at AutoZone. Get Duralast brakes that meet or exceed OE, economical options from Valucraft, or performance brakes from Brembo, EBC, and more.

Motor Oil

When the temperature warms up the oil in your vehicle thins, which can strain your engine if too thin. When shopping oil for warmer months, use thicker oil. It is recommended to change your oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.

Windshield Wipers

Windshield Wiper Blades should be replaced every six months to a year. A fresh set of wiper blades are important for spring months. Cool conditions can make dirt, pollen, and water more stubborn to wipe away, increasing the wear and tear on your wipers.

I went in today because yesterday my battery was acting weird, and when I came in to explain my situation the guy working immediately assured me I was wrong condescendingly and that it was my starter and that it was going to be pretty costly around $200-$400. Mind you he hadn’t even bothered to look at my car. Also when I told him what car I had ( a 2016 Chevy cruise) he sneered at me and said “well this is only going to be the start of your problems”. Which fair enough I know cruises are known to have problems, but I love my car and it’s been pretty reliable for me at least, especially considering I’m a 22 year old and this is only my 2nd car. I felt like it was just unprofessional. He then recommended I go to somewhere else (fair enough bc they didn’t have said part) but he mentioned a dealership? As a “last case scenario”. Which I don’t even know that much about cars, but I know enough from experience to know this was not a dealership issue 😭. It was just a bad experience all around. Idk if it was bc I’m a young girl and he just didn’t want to give me the time of day, but when I went to O’Reilys they immediately helped look at my car and offer multiple suggestions and gave me the correct info that it was infact my battery and it was an easy fix. I can’t imagine how much I would’ve spent and maybe even messed up my car if I would’ve followed his suggestion. Especially with him knowing I’m a young women with not as much knowledge, it felt like he was not wanting to put in the energy or time to help and gave false recommendations.

The store manager, Kimberly, was so helpful, kind, the store was stocked and clean. I needed LED headlight bulbs and a Dam clip for my underbody engine cover. She had no problem looking it up and helping me find what I needed. 3 different Oreillys locations said I had to go to the dealership. I also went to a couple auto zones that said the same thing, go to the dealership.
