I recently purchased a vehicle from Buerkle Acura. The sales experience itself was positive, and I'd give that portion of the process 5 stars.
A special thank you to Tristan, who was patient throughout the buying process and never made me feel pressured. I had plenty of questions, wanted to thoroughly evaluate the vehicle, financing, certification details, add-ons, and follow-up items, and Tristan consistently took the time to answer questions, provide information, and help move things along. The vehicle was competitively priced, and the Certified Pre-Owned program provided additional confidence in the purchase.
Unfortunately, the post-sale experience is what brings my overall rating down.
After taking delivery, I identified several cosmetic concerns, including scratches and paint defects that were not fully addressed before delivery. I understand this was a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and not a brand-new vehicle. However, with only about 6,000 miles on the odometer, I had higher expectations regarding the vehicle's cosmetic condition. More importantly, some of these items were discussed during the sales process, and I left with the understanding that they would be addressed as part of the delivery experience.
To the dealership's credit, they did make efforts to improve some of these issues through polishing and paint correction. However, the results ultimately created additional concerns, including visible rotary buffing marks, finish inconsistencies, and areas that appeared worse than expected after the corrective work was completed.
There were also follow-up discussions regarding cosmetic corrections, protection-package items, and other concerns identified shortly after delivery. While some issues were addressed and goodwill accommodations were provided, other items were disputed or ultimately declined. The dealership's final position was that no further corrective work, reimbursement, or compensation would be offered.
I appreciate that the team remained communicative throughout the process, even when we disagreed on the outcome. However, purchasing a premium Certified Pre-Owned vehicle with such low mileage is a significant purchase, and I expected a stronger commitment to delivering the vehicle in the condition discussed during the sale and resolving cosmetic concerns identified shortly thereafter.
Overall, I'd describe this as a 5-star sales experience paired with a 2-star post-sale resolution experience, resulting in a 3-star overall rating. I do enjoy the vehicle and appreciate Tristan's professionalism, patience, and customer service throughout the purchase process. My advice to future buyers would be to thoroughly inspect all cosmetic, mechanical, electrical items before taking delivery, document any concerns, and ensure any promised corrections are confirmed in writing.
