  I’ve rented from Penske many times in the past, but after my experience today, I won’t be using them again—for either business or personal rentals. I recently started my own service business and, like many small business owners, I operate it from my home. My home address is also the billing and business address for the company. I reserved a Penske truck and showed up this morning expecting to pick it up, only to be told that my reservation had been flagged because my business operates from my home address. I was told Penske would not rent the truck to my business unless I had a separate brick-and-mortar business location. Let that sink in: I had a reservation, showed up ready to rent the truck, and was turned away because my small business is home-based. I spoke with Evan, who told me there was nothing he could do. When I asked to speak with his supervisor, I was told there was no one above him that I could speak with. If this is Penske’s policy, then small business owners should know about it before making a reservation and arranging their day around having a truck available. Home-based businesses are legitimate businesses, and requiring a separate brick-and-mortar location excludes a huge number of small business owners. Fortunately, a nearby U-Haul dealer was happy to help me and had me in a truck and on the road within minutes. After being a repeat Penske customer, this experience ended that relationship. I won’t use Penske again for either business or personal rentals. If you operate a small business from your home, I strongly suggest confirming that Penske is actually willing to honor your reservation before you depend on them.

  Reserved a truck with liftgate, confirmed 24 hours before and I was told they have plenty available. The day of they called and said "sorry we don't have one available". So be ready to be canceled on last minute.

  Becca has gone above and beyond to make sure my needs have been. I have had big issues with ease of service at other truck rental companies but ever since I ask Becca to help me rent a truck I have stuck with Penske over all the rest !! The trucks are great and people are very friendly overall great experience
