  The TVC Airport staff was fantastic! Unfortunately, our first night with the rental, we had a deer run into the drivers side of suv. It was a crazy incident and caused significant damage. I contacted Alamo, who walked me through the process and arranged for a new vehicle. When I arrived at the airport to pick up the replacement vehicle, it was super easy and they provided us with a much nicer suv. This was the first time I purchased additional coverage, outside my credit card & own insurance, thank God I did! If you’re up in Northern Michigan, I’d strongly consider adding it on your rental. Thank you to the Alamo staff at Traverse City Airport!

  My experience with Alamo was very positive. The booking process was easy, and both picking up and returning the car were quick and convenient. I also appreciated how easy it was to make changes to my rental. I had to modify my return time a couple of times because my flight was delayed, and the process was very smooth. The only area that I think could be improved is having more staff available at the counter. There was only one person working, and even though I had already completed the express check-in through the app, I still had to wait about 10 minutes while the one customer ahead of me was being helped. Once it was my turn, everything went very quickly because I had already checked in. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely rent from Alamo again.

  Agent desk was very busy when we landed but since I all ready had done all paperwork in advance it was a breeze to pick up keys and sign and go.

  There was a terribly long wait. They are short staffed and incredibly slow at fulfilling reservations. Once we got to the counter, we had to wait another 30 min for the car to come on site and be cleaned.

  We booked our vehicle ( a full size crew cab truck - I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado at home, so I know our family will fit with car seats on back bench) in January for a trip in July (July 8th). When we got to the airport there was a line of about 65 people waiting. We stood in line (with three kids 6, 8, and 10) for an hour and twenty-five minutes. Then when we got the counter, we were told they did not have a truck available (the vehicle we reserved). We were offered a Jeep Wrangler (after I had already explained there were 5 of us with 5 suitcases and two car seats). Finally, after much back and forth, he (Kasey?) said he would see if they could find a truck (again, the vehicle we reserved in January). 15 min later he came back and said they had one but it would need to be cleaned and it would take 5-10 min. 30 min later, we still did not have a vehicle. I had to go back up to the counter and remind him we were still waiting. Finally, after about another 15 min, they brought a truck around (and he offered to "take $50 off for the inconvenience"). It was filty on the inside and outside... my 10 year old found a plastic coca cola bottle under the seat that appeared to be 1/2 full of "dip" or "chew" spit, and the storage inside the front doors (both passenger and driver, had some kind of nuts and nut shells in them... I went back up to the counter and Kasey was not there... we had already been waiting for appx 2.5 hrs and the kids were exhausted, so we just took our dirty truck and left. Worst experince I have ever had with rental car. I rent often for both work and personal travel... This makes me not want to utilize Alamo any more for travel. Terrible. Receved a reply from owner that said "if you would like to discuss further..." and basically was a link to their generic customer service. I also left a review with them directly. Have had no other attempts to contact me or reach out. So that is how much their care about their customers... Just FYI.
