I recently brought my GMC Sierra AT4 into Belle Tire at 50720 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Township, MI 48317 after purchasing new tires. The tire installation and overall customer service experience itself were good, and I had no issues with that portion of the visit. When I called to check if my truck was ready after the tire installation, I was informed that a courtesy safety inspection had also been performed. During that conversation, I was presented with an estimate for approximately $2,643 worth of additional repairs, including front brakes/rotors/pads, front struts, rear shocks, and an alignment. Because the estimate seemed extensive, I took the truck to a GM-certified dealership for a second opinion. The dealership confirmed the rear shocks were leaking and performed an alignment, but stated there was nothing wrong with the front brakes and did not recommend replacing the front struts. The final repair bill was about $750 instead of the $2,643 estimate from Belle Tire. I understand different shops may have different opinions, but I was disappointed by how aggressive the original recommendations were, especially regarding the brakes and suspension. I would strongly encourage customers to get a second opinion before approving major repair work.

I did my car alignment 4 months ago. And then they told me to pay a little extra to cover a 1-year warranty. If something happened, and I came back to them today, which is 4 months after to do a simple adjustment. Because my car was shifting a little bit to the right. And they told me they cannot do. Because it needs a $1300 fix. They did not tell me that before, but they just made me pay extra to cover the alignment of something happen. And the car is perfectly running. There is no noises or anything on the front ends, but they just did not want to do it. And they want to charge me thirteen hundred dollars for some extra work cheaters.

Great service here. I've always tried to go here for my Tire service. It's hit and miss on wait time. But changing tires isn't a quick job in general.

Not a great experience. Back in November called on a Saturday to see if they could put on my snow tires. Confirmed with the rep that I have my own tires and they will be in the car when I drop it off. He told me they could do it on Monday and never asked about the age of the tires. Dropped my car off on Saturday for them to work on it first thing Monday morning. On Monday I received a call that since my snow tires are over 10 years old they “won’t touch them”. Then proceeded to tell me I could purchase new snow tires through them. (These snow tires have only been used through a few winters and are practically brand new, so it wasn’t an issue with them being too worn.) While I understand it’s Belle Tire’s corporate policy not to work with tires over 10 years old, it would have been great if the rep had gone over that when I told him I had my own snow tires prior to coordinating a ride to drop off my car. I then had to coordinate another ride to pick up my car and take it to another shop (USA Tire) who was willing to put my snow tires on.
