    This is the 2nd Lexus I've bought from Matt Stephens at Serra and I couldn't be more pleased. I specifically reached out to Matt because of the very positive experience I had with him buying my wife's car in 2023. Matt is an outstanding advisor who listens well to what his client is saying. He is very professional and anticipates the client's needs. He is very easy to work with and is considerate of his client's time.     I had a great experience working with Spencer at Serra Lexus of Lansing. From start to finish, he was professional, honest, and incredibly responsive. He answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly, and I never felt pressured or misled throughout the process. One thing that really stood out was that Spencer took the time to make a detailed walk-around video of the vehicle and send it to me, which gave me a lot of confidence before making the trip. He also arranged to have the car shipped directly to my home over an hour away, making the entire purchase process extremely convenient. There were no hidden fees, no surprises, and no nonsense. Just straightforward, honest service. That level of customer care is hard to find these days. If you’re looking for a vehicle and want someone who genuinely takes care of their customers, I highly recommend asking for Spencer at Serra Lexus of Lansing.

    Matt, Chris, Mike and Mandy were very helpful in addressing the needs of my repair from a tire damage experience. In spite of some confusion about what parts of the recommendation would to be completed, they handle it graciously and we’re more than willing to help me get things underway and completed all in all a great experience. I drive all the way from Ypsilanti to this dealership because I like the way they do business.

    My daughter bought a used car from here ( not the kind of car they're used to selling) she's had it for a month and 2 weeks and her head gasket is bad, when she test drove it the engine light was already on and coolant sprayed everywhere, they told her it was because the hose wasn't tight and they cleared the engine light and told her if it comes back in to bring it back and they'll clear it again...I was hesitant on her buying it but because it was the car she wanted, she went a head and bought it. Fast forward a month and two weeks later, her car keeps over heating and losing coolant so she calls the service department and first she was told they only work on bmw's and cars like that, so I called and told them the situation so they had her being the car in, did a diagnostic test and it came back her head gasket is bad, they told her they couldn't help her, she needed to go to a ford dealership. They knew something was wrong with the car when they sold it to her and that's why the engine light was on and it was spraying out coolant during her test drive. The only thing that saved her/ us, was the financing guy talking her into the extra warranty/insurance or we'd be screwed and out $3,000 to get it fixed.

    We recently leased a new TX500 and the car is great. The sales person was patient and we didn’t feel pressured. I wish we could have seen more, in hindsight, because I learned of another model that was more my style the day I actually picked up the car. I feel good about what I ended up with so it’s fine and I can always trade it in later. But so far so good. I will say that overall the service was not quite what I expected from a luxury dealership. The process felt stressful. To be fair, some of this was not their fault but overall it lacked clarity, which was frustrating. I went to pick up the car the first day and realized I didn’t have certain paperwork. I was told it was just signing but I was missing paperwork that I honestly thought the dealer took care of (this was my first solo car lease). I waited around for an hour before this was mentioned to me because my sales guy was with another client. He kept saying he’d be a few minutes but went on a test drive and did a whole sale at his desk lol I scheduled time the next day to bring back my paperwork and had no clue I wasn’t meeting with my sales guy. He was out for the day so I was confused about who I was meeting with. I was also told I would be in and out as long as I brought in my title and it ended up being a solid hour and a half. The tech guy was my favorite part- he was great. Shared a lot of good information and left the door open for future questions. I think overall, it was just a much different process than when we’ve bought cars from “non-luxury” brands. I was hoping for a less stressful experience and maybe a little special but maybe I overinflated my expectations. It’s just a big purchase and when you work full time and have 4 kids, any chance to have a nice clean experience when making these sorts of purchases is really important. Not only that, we’ve worked pretty hard over the years so I was just a little disappointed that this was the experience. Also, to be clear, I’m not saying there wasn’t good in the process. I think the car is great and the person selling us the car was truly so nice. I think it was just stressful, that’s all. It wouldn’t deter me from future business but it will change how I personally navigate process and evaluate moving forward. Hope this helps!
