If I could give a ZERO, I would! The worst service experienced in a years! I've been renting from the Oak Park location for a long time and they recently changed management and what a bad decision! The previous manager was a Nigerian fellow, can't remember his name, but customer service was top notch, never a problem. Now they switched and the new manager Eric is very insensitive and did the worse possible thing as a rental company - gave up a vehicle that had been reserved for 6 months!! I put in a reservation in January for a Premium SUV (Wagoneer) rental at end of June. I called 2 weeks prior to rental date to confirm they'll have the vehicle. I specifically spoke with Eric and he confirmed, yes, they'll have the vehicle. The day before pick up, I completed the check-in process, only to get there the next day and have NO VEHICLE!! Never did they call and let me know that they DID NOT have it. He claim corporate made him rent it out to someone, but that person never returned it. Instead of giving me a heads up, he waited until I got there an offered me a 15 passenger van or a Pacific. Of which NEITHER would work for the 7 adults and luggage we were traveling with THAT NIGHT!! So now, I'm on a hunt to find a Wagooner (b/c we rented this same vehicle last year, we knew this accommodated our needs, nothing smaller than this would work). So now I'm pissed, I'm online trying to look up places, my husband is on the phone trying to call around - no one had anything! He finally found someone who could get us an Expedition, but the price was almost double what we would've paid for Enterprise. During this time, I'm on the phone calling Enterprise corporate office.. ended up speaking with a rep who claim he can only put in a request for the regional manager to call back and that he would put a urgent code to let them know to call back a.s.a.p., as a vehicle reserved was not available (supposedly this triggers a response). So we kept looking.. all the searching eventually led us to go to the airport b/c no one had the large SUV onsite. We drove all the way out to the airport... SAME THING! NO VEHICLES!! And this is a Wednesday mind you. I tried calling corporate again, spoke with another rep who again only offered to put in a message to regional manager. At this point, I found out the name of that person is Chelsea. I explained the situation and what dire situation Enterprise left me in and how I've been a longtime customer and was devastated at the position they left me in and gave no solution at all to help me!! The original rental location/Eric - did NOTHING!! Corporate customer service - NOTHING! I'm literally almost 1 MONTH LATER, still waiting on a phone call. So after 4.5 hours of on the phone and driving around, I was left with going to Avis and getting a vehicle that cost me $500 more than I would've paid! I attempted to put in a customer complaint form online, only for that to comeback as no longer an option. So I went to their website and completed a form, trying to trigger a response somehow from corporate office to make this right with me. As a long time customer, I feel like the company should pay that difference I had to incur from them not informing of no vehicle, after I've had this reserved for 6 months. Customer service was horrible and its like they can care less. However, while I'm holding on the phone, they're (Enterprise) message states "they're looking at new ways to go the extra mile for customers", "they make it their goal to give every customer a great experience", "we (people) need a partner we can trust to go along with you, as life happens".... I'm hearing all of this while on hold and saying they did NOT A ONE of these for me!! Completely dropped the ball and someone should look into this - stop avoiding your customer and make this situation right.
