  We’ve had two of our work vehicles in and the process has been so easy! We’ve been kept up to date on everything they’re doing along the way. They let us know what they suggest to be done, what the total cost would be, and the urgency of each suggested repair. One of our vehicles had an electrical issue that was proving to be a pain . They could not have been more patient about it, and understanding with my frustration ( only with my van!!) I would highly recommend Tuffy to anyone needing honest, dependable, and trustworthy work done on their vehicle.

  Great experience at Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center in Northville. I was in and out in less than an hour. Service adviser was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

  They replaced front struts on my wife's Dodge Grand Caravan and then when they mounted the front wheels they torqued (tightened) the lug nuts so hard that I could not remove the front wheels afterward to check the front brakes. I had to visit them again so they could loosen the wheels since no human could remove the lug nuts. They brought the huge impact wrench to open the lug nuts and refused to confirm the lug nuts were way over-tightened (must have been over 200 ft-lbs instead of 120 ft-lbs like the manufactured recommends). By putting such a huge force on the wheel lug nuts they stressed the studs/bolts so much that two of them were sheared off on the road later which caused the front wheel to wobble - the van was very hard to control. My wife was totally terrified, but luckily did not have an accident. Upon this incident they refused to acknowledge their negligence and refused to correct the problem. They were ignorant and rude when I addressed the issue with them. This shop has inferior worksmanship with incompetent mechanics. I refuse to return to this shop for repairs and very strongly advise against any repairs in this outfit! If I could I would give them negative stars.
