  Our oil change was incredibly quick and easy!! Lauren was kind and incredibly professional. Not from around the area but if we’re ever in a pinch again driving up north, this is where we are going!

  I’ve been coming here for over 10 years now, Best spot in town for dependable auto service and a great team of people! I was set to leave for a trip to NY, and a few days prior the rear brakes on my car started grinding. I called every place in town and they turned away my customer parts, the one shop who could was all the way in Clare and they would have had to schedule me a week out. Finally I called Tuffy, and they got me in and out the same day with my own supplied parts! You won’t find better service anywhere else!

  I brought my 2016 Ford Edge Sport 2.7 in with three known issues. Every single time I told them the correct diagnosis or location, they doubted me. When they finally confirmed I was right, there was never an apology or acknowledgment — just a higher bill. 1. EVAP Canister I specifically asked for the canister to be replaced. They quoted $1,200 ($600 for the part, $600 for labor). The genuine OEM Motorcraft canister (F2GZ-9D653-C / CX-2742) sells for roughly $150–$220 online and at other parts sources. Their part price alone was more than double what it should be. 2. Mode Door Actuator The actuator that controls the air modes (feet, defrost, etc.) is broken. I told the service advisor it was not the lower actuator shown in the standard repair information for the non-turbo engines. The 2.7 twin-turbo setup is different — the failed unit is the upper one. The woman at the counter looked at me and said, in a very condescending tone, “Are you a master mechanic?” When I reacted, she doubled down with “Do you have ten years of experience?” After about 10 minutes of them looking into it, they came back and confirmed I was correct. There was zero apology or “you were right.” They simply said the quote had to change from 1 hour of labor to 6 hours. 3. Coolant Leak This is a hard-to-find leak. I had previously paid them to locate it and they never found it. When I brought it back, I told them I believed it was the turbo cooler line. Instead of checking that area, they questioned me and said they needed more diagnostic money to “find the problem.” Summary Three separate times I gave them the correct information. Three times they acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about. When they verified I was right, the response was never an apology or professional acknowledgment — it was just a higher quote. The attitude at the counter was dismissive and rude. I’m taking the work elsewhere.
