I'm just gonna talk about 2026. This year alone, I've gone into the valvoline for a courtesy service and prior to going in, I check my coolant and sometimes I just keep it as is for a while. I go in and every time I go in, they look at my my car under the hood and so forth. And they act like they're doing something to the coolant reservoir... they open it up, they're looking around. Looking with a flashlight all around it. They open the top and look inside to check the level of fluid. I'm told their gonna put a little in cause they can't see what the level is. Anyway, but every time I leave, I check and there's no additional fluid. No leak, anything. They're just not doing a full service. Valvoline, as an added service in between oil changes (and maintain repeat customer), they provide a service courtesy. Which includes topping off your fluids, checking tires and lights, basic functions as a courtesy. If you need additional oil, they may charge for that. But everything else is complimentary for being a member or doing business with Valvoline. Just yesterday, I experienced the same thing and the staff have attitudes with me. I've been to 5 different locations in the Lansing area and the attitudes when I address a concern, they get mad. The staff are not aware of their purpose... to service the customer, not for your personal preferences. S m h. When I come in, I'm like, what are y'all mad at my car? Personal concerns outside of work? I'm not sure that's not my job. But, I know their job is to provide a service without the attitude
and lack of professionalism. As I recall my first incident, the young lady slammed my hood after the service. I addressed it and she got upset with me and ever since then, they put a note in my account, and it seems like every time I come in someone's picking up the bad attitude baton and not doing a full service for me. For whatever personal reasons, a person put in their comments/notes, but regardless of that, it is not professional. When a customer brings a legitimate concern instead of protecting your employees, address the concern, and protect the business. The people/customers, are what a business relies on and that reliability you delegate to your employees, and if the employees have the misunderstanding of their purpose, then your business will reflect that and eventually become a problem for the business to overcome. If Valvoline is not being considerate to its customers by hiring competent individuals with professionalism, then, it needs to re-evaluate itself as a business and service. We (customers) don't care about how much you know, we wanna know how much you care and professionalism shows that at all times. Thank you, and your attention to this matter is appreciated by all customers past, present, and future. 🫡
