I have only had a couple of experiences with this place, and I won't be going back unless something changes.
A few years ago, I had my brakes done there, and when I got home I noticed brake fluid leaking, so I had to take it back in. They did fix it, so I let it go and chalked it up to a one-off.
However, this next experience was the final straw. I took my vehicle in for one of their free tire and brake inspections. I wasn't having any issues with my brakes, but it had been a while since they had been changed and I was going on a long trip, so I wanted them checked just to be safe. I was busy and didn't have time to check them myself, so I dropped the vehicle off. They called me a few hours later to tell me it was ready, and I went back in to pick it up.
When I got there, they told me my rear brake pads were under 3 mm and "almost metal on metal," and that my front pads were under 5 mm and "almost worn out." They recommended replacing the pads and rotors on both the front and rear. I thanked them and said I'd go home and think about it.
On a hunch, I decided to check everything myself. I jacked the vehicle up, removed the wheels and calipers, and physically inspected and measured the pads. My rear pads were nowhere near "metal on metal." I measured the inner and outer pads on both rear wheels at 5 mm, with even wear. My front pads had even more material remaining, approximately 6–7 mm. I have pictures of the measurements as well as their written estimate.
I don't know whether they made the numbers up, estimated them based on mileage, simply made a mistake, or were trying to sell me a brake job. What I do know is that the measurements I found myself did not match what I was told or the condition described on their estimate.
My suggestion is that if you go here for a tire or brake inspection, ask them to take you back and show you the tread-depth or brake-pad measurements so you can see them with your own eyes. If you simply drop your vehicle off and come back later, based on my experience, you're rolling the dice on being told that parts need replacing when they may still have a significant amount of usable life left.

Yeah I’m done. Usually I can tolerate the rudeness of the employees from most of the locations. The one near Grande Ledge is the nicest. Today was it for me. I went in asking about getting my flat fixed (a free service) the guy said “how much time you got” and then flips his screen over and shows me how busy they are. I said I’m not sure, but when can you get me in. “4pm today (it’s noon at the time) or we can schedule you 2 days out”. I was very nonchalant about the urgency of the tire situation because the worker seemed not to care, so I made the appointment and then went to Gills next door and they still fixed my tire with in a hour and even for free.
Also, I’m extremely excited for the generated reply to this review from the owner of the shop. Shows they really really care xoxo

Save yourself the trouble and go to the Okemos location.
I brought my vehicle to the Lansing Belle Tire during an already frustrating tire/service situation, and trying to get clear information about my vehicle was nearly impossible. I eventually gave up and took it to the Okemos Belle Tire instead.
Even after that, I still never heard back from the Lansing location.
While I was waiting there, I also watched techs spin the tires on multiple customer vehicles while moving them around the lot, which came across as careless and unprofessional.
Overall, the poor communication and what I saw in the lot gave me very little confidence in this location.

I went to Belle Tire for an alignment and ended up having a pretty frustrating experience. They gave me a long list of repairs they claimed I needed, including things I had already replaced just a couple months ago. When I mentioned that, they basically told me they were only recommending the work because of how many miles were on the car, which honestly felt shady.
To be safe, I took my car to another shop for a second opinion. They checked everything over and told me the suspension and control arms were in good shape. The only thing they suggested was replacing the front struts eventually since they were original parts, but they were not leaking or causing issues. They even showed me the bushings and confirmed they were fine. On top of that, they quoted me almost half the price Belle Tire wanted.
The first time I went to Belle Tire, I was told I could replace the front struts now, get the alignment done, and come back later for the control arms if I bought the $49.99 one-year alignment warranty. But when I came back today for the alignment, suddenly they refused to do it unless I replaced the control arms first. It felt like the story changed because I didn’t get the repair work done through them.
I also had an appointment and still waited over 3 hours. When I arrived, I told them I had a nail in my tire and wanted that checked too. Jason was rude, and after all that waiting, I left without an alignment and without anyone even checking the tire. At this point, I’m wondering why I spent money at Belle Tire if I can’t even get service on my tires.
