This was genuinely one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had. My original appointment was scheduled for July 11th but due to rescheduling by Safelite, my car didn’t get fixed until August 17th. The first time they rescheduled was due to the smoke in the area, which, okay sure, glad you’re protecting your employees. However, the second time, they told me they had a mobile system update and they were no longer able to come to me to repair my vehicle and once again rescheduled. The third appointment, I brought my vehicle to the Safelite store and was waiting when they called me up and told me that something else needed to be replaced but they didn’t have any so they had to order it and I had to reschedule… again.
Each of these times I had taken off of work to have my windshield serviced which is extremely frustrating because I moved meetings around each time I scheduled a new appointment with Safelite. The fourth time I did a drop and go appointment so I could go to work, and when the technician texted me that they were finished, he informed me that they were closing early that day as well so I needed to leave work earlier to go pick up my vehicle.
Just an overall extremely frustrating and dissatisfying experience. The last time I used Safelite (at the Grand Rapids location) it was seamless and cheaper and I 100% would’ve gone somewhere else for cheaper if I knew that it was going to be this much of a hassle.

I Did Not have a good experience with Safelite. As a matter of fact it was a Bad Experience. It isn't the Company itself, it's the Bad Technician that they Hired to do the Work. The Technician I had assigned, name was Zach. Zach was very Complacent and Non-Caring. He was sent out to Replace my Back Window (Windshield) The Back Windshield turned out to Look like it was Replaced!! Zach did a Terrible job! He was very Complacent, and Unprofessional. For an example, Zach took Apart a Panel Component on Both Sides, inside the back Cab area, to Connect the new Defrost Wiring for the New Back Window. He took out the nuts, bolts, and washers to do so. When He went to reassemble the Panel, He had Lost some of the Component Parts to the Panel. He didn't place them in a Safe spot when He took it Apart, then He couldn't find them to put it back together. He had asked me to Assist him, and to look around on the ground underneath the car. Eventually, After searching for them, He said that he found the parts, in a Crevice of the Back Seat. To make matters worse, he didn't Snap one of the panels back in correctly, and had it bulging outward, and his Response to that was, "It's Just Cosmetic." I told him "No..Put it back the way you found it." So after a couple of smacks to the panel by him it eventually popped back into place. I took lot of pictures and videos while he was doing this. Another Example of Zach's Complacency is when he Applied the Adhesive to the Back Windshield Window, He did it so sloppily, that as a Result, it clearly shows some leaked Adhesive coming through the Window. I pointed it out to him, and his Reponse again was,.."It's Just Cosmetic." He's Not A Professional at All! Super Complacent and Non-Caring About A Customer's Vehicle, Repair! The last Disappointment about Technician Zach was that he had scraped a lot of the Broken Glass Onto the Ground on the Concrete Driveway. Instead of him Vacuuming up loose Shards of Glass, He just Scraped them onto the Ground! I couldn't believe it!! What Caring Person Does that? When he left the JobSite, I had to get a Broom and Dust Pan and Clean up all of the Shiney Shards of Glass in my Driveway. Luckily the Sun reflected the Glass Shards just right, so that I could see where they were, to sweep them up. I have to Park there, plus all of my other Vehicles have to Park there! It is Unbelievable, how Safelite would Hire someone like this to Represent their Company! Zach's Job Performance was very Unsatisfactory, and I wouldn't want him coming back again if I needed another Glass Replacement. Shame on Safelite for not Hiring Quality Technicians.
