  I had an absolutely amazing experience with Safelite, and a huge part of that was thanks to their outstanding technician, Zach! From start to finish, he was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about providing excellent service. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. It’s not every day you come across someone who takes so much pride in their work and treats customers so well. Zach is a true asset to Safelite, and employees like him are what makes a company stand out. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and would absolutely recommend Safelite to others. Thank you, Zach, for your outstanding service!

  I was able to get next day service even with working with my insurance. The technician was efficient and precise. My windshield looks great!

  I was directed by my insurance company to have my auto windshield replaced at Safelite. At first they said they could replace it at my residence but later changed and had me report to their location in Kalamazoo, MI. They recommended that I purchase new windshield wipers from them for $70. I accepted their recommendation and had them installed. A few days later while driving in the rain the driver's side wipers wouldn't work because it was installed incorrectly, creating a dangerous situation while I was driving. I called them and they sent a tech to my residence and corrected the issue. At this time, I noticed that they had cracked the cowl on my car. The tech reported the issue and the manager agreed to repair it over the phone. After three months I called to remind them of the situation and they had me send them a picture of the broken piece. Six weeks later there is still no followup. Also, the $70 windshield wipers are the worst ones I've ever had despite being the most expensive. I'm not happy!!

  0 stars if I could. Absolutely terrible experience with Safelite. First, Safelite attempted to “patch” a chip in my windshield, and somehow made it significantly worse. I then brought the vehicle back for a complete windshield replacement. After waiting three weeks for the replacement appointment, they were unable to get my vehicle to scan properly. After multiple attempts, they eventually got the vehicle to scan and told me there were numerous codes showing, despite the fact that there were no warning lights or issues displayed on my dash. My vehicle is a brand-new Volkswagen with only about 5,000 miles, and I also work for a Volkswagen dealership. I spoke with my coworkers about the situation, and I was told that camera calibration systems on vehicles such as Volkswagen and Audi can be extremely sensitive to windshield damage because of the camera-based driver-assistance systems. Safelite told me they would not replace my windshield unless I first took the vehicle to a Volkswagen dealer, had the codes cleared, and paid to have the vehicle diagnosed—even though the only reason I brought the vehicle in was because the windshield was cracked and that is what’s causing the codes the solution to that fix the windshield recalibrate and they go away.. What makes this even more frustrating is that Safelite told me that even if the dealer cleared the codes, the codes could potentially return once they recalibrated the windshield and the vehicle detected an issue again. That makes no sense to me. If the windshield is properly installed and the camera system is properly calibrated, the vehicle should not simply be left with warning codes because of the windshield replacement. After this experience, and after looking through other customer reviews, I have decided not to reschedule with Safelite. I would not recommend them to anyone, especially someone with a newer or more technologically advanced vehicle. I interact with automotive customers every day through my work, and I will absolutely be sharing my experience with people who ask about windshield replacement services. Safelite had an opportunity to provide a good experience and instead turned a simple windshield replacement into a three-week headache and an unnecessary trip to the dealership. The only reason I initially chose Safelite was because my insurance covered the replacement completely. If I was an insurance company I would be concerned offering them as a in network company. Big mistake lesson learned… see photo below

  The tech never showed up or called during my scheduled window of 7am to 12pm. I eventually received a phone call at 12:48 pm saying they were running behind and 3 minutes away. The tech arrived, I expressed my frustration politely, which he gave little remorse and we went forward with replacing my windshield. I paid online through a message I got before the tech was complete to speed things along. At the end of his service I received a text that simply said "all set." I got right up and went out the door to see the van pulling out of my driveway relatively fast and sped off through my subdivision at a fast pace. There was scraps of the old seal in my driveway and my back left car door was left open. This was by far the worst customer service I have received in a long time. I have email Safelite's customer care with this same information and received no further communication from them. They just don't seem to care. Find somebody else to do this work, Safelite just doesn't care about you.
