    Took in my fiancée's car for exhaust work. Original estimate only listed mufflers and another generic "parts" charge. Assumed this meant we needed mufflers and the rest would be as needed for repairs/parts on the rest of the exhaust system. Dropped the car off Thursday, informed Friday they wouldn't have mufflers until Saturday. Attempted to pick up Saturday, but they failed to mention closing at 3 during our phone call. Picked up Monday to discover the "parts" charge was for a pair of $300 tailpipes, and another pair of $100 prebent pieces. No opportunity to approve or deny these overpriced parts as they weren't actually listed on the original estimate. Then they added a $200 shop fee. All said and done we spent $2,000 on a cat-back system, missed work due to communication and parts issues, and they didn't even replace the rubber exhaust hangers. Left feeling angry, embarrassed and taken advantage of.

    I had a very positive experience with the entire crew at the Holland Tuffy Auto Service location, as they assisted me with correcting an issue I was having with my brakes, which technically was out of warranty due to the mileage since they had replaced them. They also gave me a ride home while the correction was being done. Everything was done as a “Courtesy” and no charge to me.

    This place is top notch!! (2pm on a Saturday they close at 3pm), I walk in with a flat, they access the situation, give me options and unfortunately do not have my tire so they offer to put my spare on (I reside in Osceola) and send me on my way! NO CHARGE! But lots of care (reminders)!! Reassessing my spare, drive slow, be careful, get it taken care of soon, and try to have the best day!! If I lived closer I would be using this establishment moving forward! Human kindness!! ♡♡

    Unfortunately this place was terrible. They were the only ones in the area open on Saturday and I was in a pinch. They charged me $50 to look at the car and gave me a completely incorrect diagnosis of what was wrong with my car. I think they made something up because they didn’t know what was wrong and that’s why they didn’t even offer to fix what they “thought” was wrong. Horrible experience honestly and I would not recommend. Very disappointed.

    Tuffy is my “go-to” place for help with my vehicle. When I lived in Grand Haven I would go to the Tuffy Service Center there. Now that I'm Holland, I go to the location here. Vern, Byron, Adrian and the rest of the staff are so welcoming. They are knowledgeable professionals. They are courteous and patient. They explain exactly what needs to be done to keep me safe while driving my 2017 Buick Encore. I am 77 years old and retired. After my accident I used the money my insurance gave me to purchase the Buick. My 2017 Honda Civic was totaled when a van broadsided me at a 4-way stop intersection. I paid cash for the Buick because I no longer work and cannot afford monthly payments. The people at Tuffy give me peace of mind knowing my vehicle is safe to drive.
