I was told I came on a day that less experienced techs worked, and they do not know how to lube grease fittings, thats an unfortunate as its very easy but no problem. The technician attempting to check my air filter used an impact driver...I could hear and feel him stripping my airbox screws. It took several attempts to get his attention, and when I finally did. He said the screws were already stripped.... Techs should not be using an impact driver...Not on an air box, and especially not new inexperienced techs. Give them hand tools, so they dont cause damage.. The other techs struggled to find a fitting filter but finally got it..while way over torquing the filter assembly, which is fragile and prone to breaking. Finally, after over an hour, I left. The tech that stripped my airbox screws was guiding me out and noticed my filter cover was open. He attempted to close it. I told him he needed a screw driver, which he said he didnt have, and gave me some other excuse about it being someone else job... I stopped after I pulled out of the bay to give every thing a look over after that...experience. I had to go back into the shop and ask for a screw driver to secure the panel myself, though my airbox screws are totally stripped so who knows if theyre tight. There is a very high level in deficiency in training and education at this shop. I understand valvoline is not a full service mechanic shop, but this was pretty embarrassing. Not to mention frustrating...
