  Probably the worst shop you’ll ever deal with. If your insurance company tells you this is a preferred shop for simple body work, it is not, run in the opposite direction. Your father in law could do better. Brought my car in last summer on an insurance claim with damage to the drivers side door and rear fender. Ended up having to bring the car back 7 times due to it still not being fixed. They claimed some of the damage was prior to this claim. (Which, there had been previous damage in one spot, that our insurance assessor stated would be covered due to NEW damage over the SAME AREA). Gerber claimed this was not true and all of the damage was old, they tried to refuse to fix it, AFTER the insurance company settled with them. They also lost a piece of my interior door panel in their shop and supposedly tried to order it multiple times before telling me it is a discontinued part, however each of these times I had to drive all the way over just for them to tell me they ordered the wrong thing, three times, before telling me it is no longer produced. I’m STILL missing this part on my car and there is an open hole in my drivers door panel. This piece had NO DAMAGE and was firmly attached when I brought the car in. They never reattached the seals correctly on my doors and they fell off within weeks, meaning we had to pay to replace them out of pocket later because Gerber claimed that was ‘not included in the insurance claim’, however should have been covered under Gerber’s ‘warranty’, as the only seals that have failed on my vehicle are the ones GERBER took off. Again, these seals have zero damage prior to going to Gerber. I have my car in a different shop currently, once again, to replace parts GERBER broke. Two of my wheels had damage and somehow, Gerber managed to bust all four tire sensors. I wasn’t able to afford to fix that until now due to that being a $300 repair plus labor. Again, none of my tire sensors had any problems before going to Gerber. But when I picked it up, my tire sensor light was on and had been on ever since. They also painted over the entire door panel, including where my original sticker was, meaning I can’t see my tire inflation pressures, weight rating, or VIN number without using other sources. Of the 7 times I had to bring it back, I received random rental vehicles 4 times. One of which they forgot to notify the rental place, and I had to fit car seats into a tiny 2 door car that was never meant for car seats. After the seventh time returning, I said forget it. Every time they broke something more and failed to fix anything. Also, their ‘warranty’ is a joke. They can’t do anything but break and lose more parts of your vehicle.

  Failed to deliver communication when promised. I consistently gave them over a week longer than I was promised before I would follow up again. It took me showing up in person two times to get the answers I was looking for. I had my vehicle for 21 days for a very simple bumper repair, and paint job on it. When I brought the vehicle in to them because they were recommended by the insurance company that claim was being run through because they were a preferred shop. The adjuster at the shop flat out told me it was strictly cosmetic damages and that he would not recommend fixing it. Cosmetic or not someone caused damage to my car and I wanted it fixed! His lack of interest in even completing the quote should’ve been a huge red flag I was going to have nothing but issues getting my vehicle completed and back from them.
