I try not to leave one star reviews because it’s not often that a place is truly worth a one star experience. First issue is that, consistently when I book here, at this Enterprise they do not have the type of vehicle that I’ve reserved.
This last experience took the cake though. I booked a vehicle for a business trip for a 5 PM pick up, same day. Mind you, the website let me book this, at this location, at this time. At 4:45 PM, just as I was about to get my ride to leave to go pick up the vehicle “Mary” from this location called me. First, she tells me they do not have the type of vehicle I booked. No surprise there, but fine I will deal with that. Second, she asks me if I’m OK with a Trailblazer, which she needs to “get cleaned up”. I say OK, but I’m about ready to head out. She says; “That’s fine we will get that ready for you.” So, the implication being that it was going to take them some time to get the vehicle ready, I decided to wait on my ride another 10 minutes or so. So I get my ride lined up, head to Enterprise, arrive at 5:10 PM. Place is locked up. Lights off, curtains are drawn on every single window, no answer knocking on the doors and windows. Call multiple times, it just rings and rings and rings, no voicemail.
So what happens here is that Mary from this location calls me last minute, apparently right before they close, to tell me that they were going to have a different vehicle ready for me then what I reserved. She does not warn me that they are about to close, nor does she tell me that I need to be there at a certain time, or I will lose the reservation. So I line up a ride, get over there, everything is closed, have to get another ride back, no warning, no car, screwed for my trip. apparently Mary did not prepare my Trailblazer for me, and left at 5 PM on the dot without any notice or any accommodation for me. Thanks, Mary!
Why their website would allow a 5 PM booking when they are not willing to stay in accommodate that is beyond me. Why Mary would not call me back to tell me that she is locking up and I missed my opportunity is beyond me. Why she would not warn me 15 minutes in advance when she first called me is beyond me. Horrible experience, I’m very angry.
EDIT: The Enterprise response is in no way helpful. They want me to call or chat with my details, but the reservation is already done. Why would I waste more of my time and cost, unless they are prepared to offer me a free rental? That is not guaranteed, so I will not be taking time to chat or call them. Mary has my reservation details and phone number. They can reach out to their own employee to get my info and make this right with me, or this review can stand, on every channel I can get it on.
