  I've rented vehicles from this location a few times and I've almost always had positive experiences. There was one instance where they didn't have the vehicle I needed for my reservation and I ended up waiting a few hours extra for it but that happens when it comes to renting vehicles once in a while. It's not a perfect system unfortunately. Nonetheless, the staff has always been friendly and as accommodating as they can be.

  Poor service. Bait and switch business. These days if you book a car online and call to verify if it will be available on pickup and are told your car is not available when you drive to the location. That is a poor business model.

  Great staff at this location! I have received excellent service every time I’ve come! As a mom of four, this rental was super fun to drive on my recent work trip.

  This review covers both locations on Plainfield as well as the 28th Street location. My family had an out of state wedding to attend and needed a larger vehicle to accommodate us. We've rented from Enterprise in the past, so they were our first choice. What a mistake. After making more than one reservation for vehicles that appeared to be available on the website (Plainfield and 5 mile, Plainfield downtown )and later receiving phone calls that those cars were not actually available, I called to make a reservation (28th St) in person. I was told that the vehicle type I needed was available and made the reservation, only to receive yet ANOTHER phone call the morning of my scheduled pick up (at 6:50AM) to inform me that my vehicle choice was not available. Never in any of these calls was an attempt to offer a substitute or "fix" the situation, instead I was told that cars were available "next week" or later in the week. When I spoke to the person who called me (Mary, I believe) I asked why a reservation agent doesn't have the same information that she does regarding availability. They are essentially working off the same info as I am when I book online, and that info is far from accurate. She assured me that I would get a call back and they would work on the situation. PS....it's 5 days later and I haven't heard a word back. I ended up renting through the GR airport Enterprise and waited anxiously for a call that my car was not ready or available. Thankfully that call never came and my family was able to attend the wedding with an appropriate vehicle. Lesson learned: do not rent from local branches and avoid Enterprise entirely if at all possible. Airport location is your best bet if you are local to Grand Rapids.

  Reserved a truck through insurance. Enterprise called and confirmed f150 or similar truck would be available. Showed up for rental and was instead offered a jeep Cherokee. Also told on location that this plainfield location doesn't even rent trucks. Confirmed with insurance after the fact and their end shows they did in fact reserve us a truck. Called another enterprise location and they informed us that all locations carry trucks. Left us scrambling 1 day before vacation.
