  Negative 5 Stars — Avoid Enterprise Garden City at All Costs I'll try to put words to one of the most frustrating customer experiences I've ever had. It starts before you even walk in. The parking lot is riddled with 2-inch deep potholes — impressive for a business that exists to care for vehicles. If you're in a sedan, good luck. If you have any mobility issues, the cracked, uneven pavement is genuinely a safety hazard. The building entrance doesn't get any better: no automated doors, and the entry swings outward, directly into the path of anyone walking up. It's as if accessibility was never a consideration at any point in this location's existence. Inside, two employees were glued to their phones on work calls the entire time we were there. We were waved into the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in — hard plastic and leather with zero cushioning. After about 10 minutes, someone finally acknowledged us. We had an 11:30 reservation made earlier in the week — confirmed, scheduled, set up through our insurance company for a collision rental. The agent told us she had "one vehicle on the way." Then spent the next 15 minutes frantically calling other locations, saying things like "it was never dropped off" and "I don't know where it is." Don't these cars have GPS? Shouldn't a rental car company be able to locate their own fleet? She ultimately told us there was no vehicle available, and the rest of the lot was waiting on oil changes. Come back Monday. Here's why that's unacceptable: I had a mechanic appointment scheduled for Saturday — the day of our reservation — specifically timed around picking up this rental. Collision repair is time-sensitive. Our insurance gave us 30 days. We need every one of them for body and paint work. Being told to "come back Monday" isn't a solution — it's a domino that knocks over every other appointment and arrangement we made. When I explained this, the agent was completely unmoved. What is the point of a reservation if the car isn't there? I then asked about basic modern safety features — blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control. These have been standard on most Toyotas, Hondas, Subarus, and Hyundai/Kias since roughly 2022. She looked at me like I'd asked for a warp drive. Told me she couldn't guarantee any of those features. Wouldn't even look. I was willing to pay a premium for these features — features that exist to keep drivers safe — and couldn't get even a basic effort in return. The agent suggested I try the Livonia location with 300 vehicles in stock. Great tip — maybe lead with that when your lot is empty. Because this happened on a Saturday, I spent the rest of the day leaving voicemails for my insurance agent, rescheduling mechanic appointments, and scrambling to sort out a mess that this location created. They got to enjoy their weekend. We did not. I'm forced to continue dealing with Enterprise through my insurance, but I will never set foot in this location again. If you're in a collision and need a rental, do yourself a favor and request a different location from the start.

  What is the point of making an appointment and reservation days ago just to be sent away without a rental car? Plus, this was by far the worst customer service I think I've ever had. There was no customer service. I left furious, and it was abundantly clear they didn't care and weren't willing to do anything to make the situation better. They told us to go to another Enterprise that I don't have my insurance claim with. If given a choice, I would avoid this branch at all costs. Date visited- May 16, 2026

  I recently rented from both the Garden City and the Livonia locations, 2 days each. Ended up using the Plymouth location as well. All employees were great ! but the teamwork between Livonia and Plymouth was above and beyond the call of duty, service so courteous and complete I will never forget it. BRAVO to all !
