  Dan was super nice and didn’t mind explaining even the simple things. He made sure all my questions were answered. My services here are always pretty efficient and they do good work.

  Outstanding experience at Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center on Pierson Road in Flint! Dan was fantastic from start to finish. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, personable, efficient, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure Betty Black Bronco was properly taken care of for her oil and filter change. He took the time to explain what she needed, answered my questions without making anything feel rushed, and made the whole auto service experience refreshingly easy. The service was fast, professional, and thorough, with the kind of customer care that makes you actually look forward to coming back to an auto shop. That alone deserves five stars. We’ll definitely be back when it’s time for Betty Black Bronco’s new shoes (tires). She’s particular about her footwear. 😂 If you’re looking for reliable auto repair, maintenance, tires, or simply an honest and knowledgeable mechanic in the Flint area, I highly recommend Tuffy on Pierson Road. And definitely ask for Dan. He’s basically the auto mechanic doctor who knows his stuff, diagnoses the problem, explains the treatment plan, and gets your four wheeled patient back on the road. Excellent customer service. Fast and efficient. Above and beyond. Highly recommended for all your auto care needs!

  I came in because of a noise my van started making I waited 4 and 1/2 hours for them to diagnose. They said it was a loose flywheel or torque converter and they gave me a price of $825 to repair it. I left the vehicle there overnight when they called me the next day at 5:00 p.m. they said it was all taken care of. Everything's done. I get back to the shop. My truck is making the exact same noise it was making before they said now oh, you really need to replace the flywheel. Of course now the truck's back together and to replace the flywheel would be another big charge. I would not recommend this facility to anybody ever and in addition they charged me an extra $65 for shop materials of which they used absolutely none

  Fast friendly service and they did not try to up sell me for any of my check engine codes they fixed what I asked for and that was it I’ll be going back.

  Very Disappointed — I Paid for a Pre-Purchase Inspection and Still Wasn’t Properly Informed I brought a vehicle here specifically for a pre-purchase inspection because I was trying to make a responsible decision before spending my money on a used vehicle. When I arrived, I was asked if there was anything I had already noticed. I immediately told them that the air conditioner was not working and that I wanted to know what was wrong with it. I was told there was a charge for the pre-purchase inspection because it would be a detailed inspection. I agreed and paid because I wanted to know what I was getting into BEFORE purchasing the vehicle. When I received the report, the air-conditioning issue I specifically mentioned was not addressed. I was given a list of other repairs the vehicle supposedly needed, which I then paid to have repaired. Now the service engine light has come back on, and I’m finding out that this vehicle has more problems than I was led to believe. What makes this even more frustrating is that the entire reason I paid a professional shop for a pre-purchase inspection was to avoid this exact situation. I wasn’t asking them to guarantee that a used vehicle would never have another problem. I was paying for a thorough assessment so I could make an informed decision about whether I should purchase it. When I called back about the air conditioner, the gentleman who answered—his name started with a J, but I don’t remember his exact name—was very dismissive and had an attitude. I was then told I would have to bring the vehicle back and pay an additional fee to diagnose why the air conditioner wasn’t working, even though the non-working AC was one of the first things I specifically brought to their attention during the inspection I already paid for. I feel like I paid for a service that did not give me what I needed or what I reasonably expected from a detailed pre-purchase inspection. Had I been given a more complete picture of this vehicle’s condition, I may have made a completely different decision about purchasing it. Unfortunately, based on both the inspection and the way my concerns were handled afterward, I would not recommend this shop for a pre-purchase inspection. My experience left me feeling like collecting additional fees was more important than addressing a paying customer’s legitimate concerns.
