  So this review hurts my heart. I have been going to discount muffler since 2012 they have done work on many of my vehicles. Was always pretty honest. Well this last time I went I had a power steering leak. Was quoted from Debbie ( who I think is an awesome honest lady) that the entire power steering would cost after parts and labor almost $600. Ok that’s fine. Well when I took it up there the other lady immediately said well that could be your rack and pinion. Me in my head is thinking no way is it my rack and pinion because I have had to replace a rack and pinion on my other vehicle and my car drives nothing like the last one that needed a rack and pinion. (Discount repaired that for me.)Like I can drive down the road going straight down the street with my hand completely off the wheel. Anyways long story short they call my husband back telling him it’s gonna cost 1,800 to fix my car leak. They said my rack and pinion was bad and some other stuff. My husband told him that it’s leaking from a line cause he fixed the tube but the line was still leaking and that’s all he thinks is really needed. So we decided to pick are vehicle up and take it somewhere else and get it looked at. So I did. I took it right down the street and that shop told us are rack and pinion had a small leak but nothing that was urgent and that it could still last a few years like that. They ordered my part and it’s only gonna cost $390 dollars to fix. That is a far cry from $1800. That makes me pretty upset considering I have spent thousands of dollars with this place I mean thousands of dollars one repair was 2300 had no problem ok fix it. Another repair 1700 ok fix it. Another repair 900 ok fix it that repair was actually supposed to be less then 400 but they ran into a problem . Another repeat 1300 ok fix it. Another one 750, Not including the small repairs that was 400 or less plus many more I can’t think off. But now this it has me questioning every repair I have done. At this place. It’s sad it hurts my heart because I was loyal customer that trusted what they told me and thought they was always honest. This is not good business and that’s really sad they would tell me this when they could have fixed my leak for less then 400 but just thought it would be ok to quote me 1800. Well not this time. Sorry this happened wish it didn’t cause this is very disappointing and not a review I ever wanted to do. I never leave reviews but just thought this deserves a review. 😭🥲🤦‍♀️
