- AMA. Martin6 days ago5.0I pulled up to this location as it was closing last night, the gentleman Josh was locking the door and seen us coming, he stood in the door assist us without any hesitation. I had been on quite an adventure throughout the day, Josh was very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful with the few things I needed assistance with. Anything I asked him to do, he was up for it. I promised him I’d be quick and he was like it’s cool, don’t worry, how can I help you! There was never a moment I felt rushed, or like a burden. I would 1000% return to this location looking for him and Donna. We even sang a song together as he was assisting us 😂😂😂 awesome customer service and personality to have on the front line of any business. Many times, computer systems at parts stores don’t refer back to vehicles in the 40’s-50’s. That said, I needed a new battery and had the old one (from 4/2003) so I knew what specific size I needed to absolutely fit the battery location and factory hold-down bracket. I had the great fortune to have top-notch employee STAR helping me with my battery issue. After carefully measuring the battery dimensions, STAR produced the exact battery I needed for my garage kept classic. I felt guilty having her dedicate so much time in trying to find me the “perfect sized battery”, but imagine my relief when she said, “I don’t give up that easily!”. If more retail driven operations had employees with the attitude/aptitude I got from STAR, consumers might reconsider going back to shopping at actual stores. STAR is an example of what (I consider) to be a team member that’s a true asset to a business whose product I can buy anywhere. Bravo STAR, you’re a real winner.

He found the exact battery that I needed and helped me install the battery in my car even when it started to rain because a big storm was coming. He got a little wet, he did not complain once and within a few minutes he had my battery installed. Amazing service!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
