I rented a truck with this company for a total of one month. The first vehicle I had to return it because of expired tags. I didn't feel comfortable riding in Oakland County Michigan that way so I called with my concern and they had me return it. The next vehicle light on the dashboard indicated that the oil needs to be changed I took that back immediately. They gave me another vehicle now finally I was able to enjoy the rest of my rental period. SO when my rental period was up I returned the third vehicle that I ended up with. I get my invoice by email and I have charges for gas for the first two vehicles that was unoperable. I called to ask for them to remove the charges and was told they want do it. Needless to say after spending $2200 with Alamo I feel robbed. There vehicles need to have inspection before renting them out so that the customer won't have to return them in the first place. I don't recommend this company at least not at Detroit Metro Airport.

Reserving a car online and drop off we're a great experience. We had a great chat with Wilbert while waiting a few short minutes for the shuttle bus after drop off. Pick up was a mess. The reservation desk was great, but we waited 30 minutes to get our car. There were four employees "helping" multiple customers get their cars and only one of them was actually helping. The other three were either sitting down in the corner or standing around not doing anything. There was one customer who said she had been waiting 1.5 hours for her car. No one was giving us updates or telling us a status. We had to proactively ask when cars were pulling up if they were our car or not. There was a female employee who was running around doing her best to help. I wish I would have caught her name.

I had to rent a car while visiting a passing relative. Right before I left they passed and I extended my stay. They made extending the rental easy. Next, there was a recall by Volkswagen, and I had to exchange the vehicle, not their fault, but they reimbursed me a generous amount to drive an hour each way. When I returned the vehicle there was an issue on the bill, and the manager David, personally made sure it all went well, gave me his card, and corrected everything, and even gave another discount for my trouble. I highly recommend using this facility, and it will be my only rental car agency when I come back to the area, also my likely go-to in other places. I also need to mention the staff behind the counter, they were all very kind, polite and patient. I had to react with at least 4 of them, and the experience was the same each time. Note: when I found out I needed to extend my stay, I called the help desk. It was after hours, but there were still people available. The issue is they have no tools to do anything. I was supposed to drop the car at 5AM, and was already under stress. now I am afraid I will have late fees, and the person on the phone can't help me. The company as a whole needs to work on that. But when I arrived about 8 AM, this facility took care of everything for me, and I felt so relieved.

This is my first time ever running from Alamo. I reserved online. A convertible was no problem booking it when I checked in was never an issue when I went to go over until the gentleman showed the paperwork and they were gonna pull up the car 10 minutes later, he came up to me and said we don’t have a convertible on the lot. I said I’m very confused, I checked in that’s what I said. I was getting no one ever said anything to me and the time that I was going to check out and they were supposed to pull the car up no convertible. I don’t understand what’s the reason why I do a reservation. And then I was supposed to be getting a Mustang convertible and I ended up with a Mazda three I didn’t have time to wait in line again another 30 minutes to try to figure out what’s going on or the price difference. I accepted it cause I had to go, I was running late. I don’t understand how you can do a reservation for a car go through the check-in process and then be told when they’re ready to pull up the car they don’t have a convertible This is very poorly managed

Wasn’t a great experience. Firstly, & strangely, this car rental company was not able to split the payment over 2 different cards as my limit was lower than the rental cost. Not sure why this was not possible , as in the UK it’s done frequently. Jillian Drapala sent me an email explaining what to do when we return, & I sent her 2 emails to ask her to confirm something, with absolutely no response. ? Why send an email & then not respond to my reply?? We did manage, from James R’s help, to rent the car for days which brought the cost down under my card limit, then extend it to the correct day, & paid the balance on a different card on return. The rental car they gave us was not really in great shape, with a Tom Tom navigation system which had not been updated so sent us on several different routes. This is an archaic form of gps that needs to be stopped & the car’s navigation used. On return of the car, we were told that because of the navigation issue they would credit us a days rental back, but that day has not been credited. So overall not a great experience & probably wouldn’t use Alamo again. 2⭐️⭐️
