  I chose Extreme to install a lift kit and larger tires on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler because I wasn't very knowledgeable about suspension and tire setups. I explained exactly what I wanted and made it clear that my top priorities were drivability and safety, as the Jeep would be driven by my wife and my 16-year-old son, who is a new driver. Unfortunately, the results were very disappointing. After the initial installation, the Jeep had significant drivability issues. I barely made it home. When I got up to 65 on the highway, it was sending warning lights going off, thinking it was in a roll or sway. The jeep repeatedly auto braked trying to keep it from swaying and crashing.  I returned to the shop three separate times, spending additional money in an attempt to correct the problems. Despite those visits, the issues were never properly resolved. Eventually, I sought help from another shop. They corrected the alignment and identified that the tires installed by Extreme were F-load-rated tires, which were far too heavy and wide for my application. Those tires were contributing significantly to the poor ride quality and handling problems. We ultimately had to replace the tires entirely. During the process with the other shop, they also identified that parts of the lift kit while not installed incorrectly, but attention of detail was not used. They installed the lift blocks upside down so that the logo did not read correctly. One rear lift block they found the spring partially sliding off. I contacted extreme and was told I would get a call back after the service manager spoke with the general manager. That was several days ago, clearly their attention to detail and customer service along with knowledge is lacking The original lift kit with wheels and tires was quoted out at just under $7000. I now have over $13,000 into the vehicle and its drivability is back and corrected. Thanks to the other shop. I also have a set of wheels and tires that I now can’t use that I spent over $3000 on. Extreme’s best recommendation with them was to sell them on marketplace….. As the professionals, I expected guidance on selecting components that would meet my stated goals. Instead, I ended up spending considerably more money correcting issues that could have been avoided with proper recommendations from the start. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Extreme Auto for customers who are relying on expert advice for suspension and tire upgrades.
