  Do not buy from General RV Brownstown! They sold me a lemon where the slide on my RV randomly comes out when driving or parked! It has happened since the day I’ve owned it and it’s been in 9 times, and it still doesn’t work! They have now washed their hands of it and told me I’m stuck with a lemon. Terrible customer service and zero resolutions! They failed to fix it under warranty like they said they would and now they’re passing the buck! Do not do business with them unless you want to be taken advantage of!

  Very disappointed with this company. I was warned about them and didn’t believe it. I feel taken advantage of, ripped off, ignored and patronized. I was sold a piece of crap because they knew I was ready to buy! I’ve owned my Freelander for SEVEN WEEKS. It’s been IN the shop for two days, has had road service three times, has a deadbolt that was put on crooked from day one. The door pops open while driving down the road-I was told to have someone SIT INSIDE AND HOLD IT CLOSED WHILE I DRIVE IT BACK!! The side window has not closed/locked since day one. The fridge and furnace are on the same fuse and heat goes out. When I looked at it before I bought it, the couch was dirty, and there was sawdust all over the bed from assembly. I was assured both would be corrected, NEITHER WAS TAKEN CARE OF!! Literally JUNK and I feel like they knew it and sold to me ON PURPOSE!! I will be calling my attorney to make sure I’m taking the correct steps to get repaired BEFORE WINTER!!!

  The buying experience was terrible agreed to purchase camper with add ons at show in Hershey Pennsylvania got a decent price on camper but was overcharged approximately 5k we were told at show the price of add ons was added to price of camper when we got to dealership in brownstown which is 2 hours from our home we worked out the cost of the add ons we found out there labor charge is $225.00 an hour and they marked up the add ons I could have gotten them at a much lower cost myself We did walk through that was good and very helpful after we sat and signed papers we left some what satisfied with the purchase we were on the road almost an hour in heavy traffic when we got a call from them saying that the add ons where in the financing and that would add about $200.00 to our payment and they needed us to come back to office so we turned around and headed back we talked with them couple times on phone I was ready to get my old camper and down payment back and walk away but about 10 minutes away from general rv they got the bank to lower the interest rate so our payment would be about $40.00 more and would put at our maximum we wanted to pay monthly I do not recommend buying anything from general rv there service department will overcharge you for labor and parts we have bought 2 other campers and this was by far the worst buying experience and its not done yet I will edit this review if things get better as of now stay away from general rv in brownstown
