  The district manager made the rental process extremely difficult and seemed to go out of his way to find reasons not to rent to me. I’ve rented through Enterprise plenty of times, including at the same location, without any issues. The way I was treated made me feel singled out, and based on the circumstances, I genuinely believe I was racially discriminated against. The experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.

  Frustrated With Enterprise I honestly feel like I was treated unfairly at Enterprise today. I’ve rented through Enterprise plenty of times, including at the same locations, using the same driver’s license, and I’ve never had an issue. This time, I was suddenly told I couldn’t rent a vehicle because there was a small piece missing from the corner of my license. The district manager is the one that gave me such a hard time The damage is minor, and all of my information is clearly visible on both the front and back. I’ve used this exact ID at the same locations multiple times without anyone ever saying anything about it. What made the situation even more frustrating was the way I was treated from the moment I walked in. and it genuinely felt like they did not want to rent to me. When I explained the situation to other people afterward, they were shocked and said there had to be another reason because the explanation I was given didn’t seem to make sense. I’m not claiming to know exactly why I was refused, but based on the way I was treated and the fact that I’ve rented from Enterprise before with the same license, I can’t help but feel like I was discriminated against.

  Enterprise accepted my reservation for a premium three-row SUV, then gave the vehicle to someone else two days before my cross-country trip. Their explanation was that the booking system does not properly account for one-way rentals and that they needed the SUV for another customer. That is Enterprise’s inventory problem—not a valid reason to disregard a confirmed reservation at the last minute. I asked them to contact another Enterprise location, including the nearby airport, and arrange a comparable vehicle. They refused even to make the call. Their only offer was a much smaller SUV, followed by the suggestion that I contact a less convenient branch myself. Because they waited until two days before departure, the nearby Avis location was already fully booked. Enterprise created the problem, left me almost no time to find an alternative, and shifted all responsibility for fixing it onto me. Please also spare me the standard public reply asking for my reservation details. This location knows exactly who I am and had the opportunity to help when it mattered. It chose not to. A reservation at this location apparently does not mean the vehicle will be available, and customers should not expect meaningful help when Enterprise fails to honor it.
