- KSKirk SevertsonJul 23, 20261.0Scheduled an alignment and showed up for the appointment only to be told their alignment tech called in sick. They might have managed to email or call before we came in? Scheduled in for next day, they ran over a "safety check" of the vehicle before performing the alignment and came up with $2700 of repairs they said had to be done before it was alignable. This included a control arm bearing replacement, full brakes on all four tires ("they're SHOT!"), new wipers (!), brake fluid flush. Decided to take it to another shop for another opinion, and they looked it all over as well as the quote from Belle Tire, and they just shook their heads and said it was all bogus. They performed the alignment on the spot, advised us that we'd need to think about brakes in 6-12 months. I guess they're able to rip off enough Ann Arbor customers that this predatory tactic must pay off for them. I just hope others don't have this bad experience and get ripped off.
- JJJamieJun 11, 20261.0I came in a few weeks ago to have a tire leak in one tire patched up and to have the other tires checked out as well. An hour after I dropped off my car, they called and informed me that they couldn’t find my wheel lock key (and they couldn’t look at my car until they found it) but also that they had already assessed over $3000 in repairs. Before even looking at my car because they couldn’t find the wheel lock key. I ended up calling the shop where I usually take my car and took it in the next day, along with the list of repairs suggested by this Belle Tire. I picked my car up later that day and was quoted for $200 in repairs (just the tire patching, as suspected). All the other “concerns” were looked at as well and I was told that half of the claims were simply untrue and the others were non-issues. Very disappointed by this shop and their attempt to take advantage of me. I don’t trust this place and cannot recommend it.
