  The car was very clean and nice. I specifically called and asked if there would be a deposit. I was told no as I had a returning flight. However the day of the car rental they did charge me a deposit. you should not lie to people especially when they are on a strict vacation budget.

  The check-in customer service provided by Taina at the Portland, Maine airport was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, an excellent communicator, and genuinely warm and friendly. Taina is an outstanding representative of Alamo and a wonderful example of what great customer service should look like—especially at a time when exceptional service can be so hard to find.

  I had a great experience with Alamo! The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the entire rental process easy and stress-free. What really stood out to me was the customer service even after my rental was over. Natalie personally reached out to follow up and make sure everything went well and to see if I had any questions or concerns. I’ve rented cars before, and this was the first time a rental company has followed up with me afterward, which I really appreciated. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel much more personal. Thank you to Natalie and the entire Alamo team for the excellent customer service! I would definitely rent from this location again.

  Portland Jetport waiting area to pick up the car was terrible. Alamo people did the best they could, but hard to get to and way to hot and crowded, Alamo people and car were great. No issues at all with Alamo. Recomend them.

  Had a great experience picking up our rental car in Portland. Customer service from Shellie was top notch, she was professional, kind, and very patient with us and helped us get sorted. Our only sticking point was getting the child seat installed in the car, it's confusing and there are no instructions and staff are not permitted to help. I would suggest that rental companies start saving the instructions or keep them in a PDF to share with customers, especially bc models can vary widely, but I'm not taking a star off as this is more of a general complaint about the industry that we've experienced multiple times before with other companies.
