  I took my car in for a windshield replacement, and a technician damaged my car. The car had to be towed and repaired at the dealership As tragic as this was, it was all handled with kindness and understanding by Jamar Tucker, the store manager. He personally ensured that my car was towed to the dealer, provided me with a rental car, communicated with the dealership and kept me informed of the progress each step of the way Had it not been for Mr Tucker's excellent service this could have had much more disastrous consequences.

  After five months of quite possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I needed to take my car to a dealership to get the windshield replaced and calibrated. The Woodlawn, Maryland office was a disgrace. I attempted to call literally hundreds of times with nobody answering the phone and their customer service representatives could not get a hold of anybody for weeks at the shop. If you have any other options with your insurance, I would highly recommend looking at these instead of the Safelite branch in Woodlawn, Maryland.

  My wife called and spoke with a representative over the phone. She had a very poor experience after that call. She was quoted an amount of $400 for her windshield over the phone and she also was given an invoice which is attached in a photo. She called the day before to confirm her appointment and at that time she was told the windshield wasn’t even there. They never called her to cancel she lost time from work. But that’s not the worst part. At that moment on the phone, she was also told Her price would be an additional $400 taking it from a invoice sent to our email and quoted it over the phone when she ordered a 400 and then it went to 800. She questioned what was going on. They told her that she didn’t give all the information. She answered all the questions. The agent asked her. She even told her pacifically that her car had a lot of calibration and re-censoring that would need to be assured it stayed in place. They asked for her tag number her VIN number and the young lady said yes I have your car. This is giving me the bait and switch used car technique. It doesn’t feel well to go from $400-$800 on top of that you didn’t even handle the windshield and you scheduled me to come get service. I spoke to their customer service unit. They said it would go to the regional manager. He would call me by the closing of that day. It’s two days past and I have not heard from him. They were recommended by my dealership. I had no idea. This is my first time using this company. What a poor experience. How can you trust what I just experienced.

  Super happy with Safelite's work! The technician was super professional and nailed the windshield replacement. Just a heads-up though: their communication could be better. They didn't hit me up when my car was ready. Pro tip: just call customer service around the estimated completion time, and that'll get the shop to notice and let you know it's good to go!

  I dropped my car off at 5:30 in the morning with my key in the drop box for my 8:00am appointment. I called Safelite around 9:30am to get a status update on my car just to be connected to a call center who then they tried calling the store and no one answered. My rep said she sent them several messages. My husband then called them at 1:15pm in which he was connected to a rep who also sent several messages. My car notified me that my car door was open at 1:45 pm. I got off of work and got to the store at 3:05pm where I was told they were still working on it. To then be told no one checked their lock box for any keys. I dropped it off so I wouldn’t have to wait and yet they made me wait anyways. It is now 3:45 and I was told they’re pulling my car around now. The guy from Arizona was helpful and at least communicated with me as no one else in the store said one word to me (even when I first got there). I will never be coming back to this store.
