  Got a large crack in my windshield and called Safelite to get it replaced. Making the appointment, over the phone ALL the information and the at the window has sensors which they saw pulling the VIN. They said they can come to me a replace and calibrate it. The tech comes, tells me it would take 45 minutes to an hour. 20 minutes in he calls me down and said he can't do it that his "tablet didn't update the right way" so I would have to take it to Padonia Road to get it repaired there. He said it would take the same amount of time and to allow an extra half hour. Scheduled it for today and when I go to drop it off, I was not greeted other than "year and model" gruffly. He said it will be 3 to 3 and half hours. Then I tell him what I was told and express my frustration politely and I feel as if he thought that was a good time to belittle me and talk to me like he's scolding his child and in other words calling me a liar as to what the other tech told me. This process has been an ordeal, the attitude is not ok, and he treated the customer in front of me who was one of the same race as him with respect from the time she was greeted with "how can I help you today ma'am". All I did was politely express my frustration and got belittled and was told "well you decided to buy a 24 Chevy Traverse which has the (don't know the word) windshield". I was shocked he had to make that smart comment along with the other ones he made. I worked hard to buy it brand new so yeah I brought a brand new vehicle a couple years ago. I called my husband and put him on speaker to explain what was going on and so I wasn't stranded in Timonium for at least 3 hours as I have other things lined up and he was right off the bat disrespectful to him as well when I was trying to explain to my husband what was going on. I get things take time but after being told 3 times it wouldn't be more than an hour and a half, it's frustrating. He then educated me on checking my email because all of the information is in there. I saw the email that was sent at 708am this morning while getting my kids ready for the first day of school, either way I still would've questioned what the original tech said because I planned my day around this repair and the time I was told. A man walked out after I was outside on the side walk rearranging my day even said the way he spoke to me was inappropriate and rude and he noticed the same treatment towards him with the customer in front of him versus the treatment he got. He for sure made sure there was a card on file before I walk out the door though, the only thing that they are all on the same page about. I wouldn't recommend them until they can all get on the same page of how to talk to and treat their customers and until everyone can get on the same page of what the customers can actually expect. 1 star because the window got replaced and because I can't go any lower. I know another company who can do it from their mobile truck as my parents just had the same thing happen to them. Next time I will go out of my way to go with that other company. Come to find out, his name is Kevin and he turns out to be the manager. I wonder if he treats all his customers this way. Since I called the corporate number earlier and the women I spoke with acted as if she didn't want to get me the information I requested and she'd send my info over, which is appreciated, I figured I'd still get the head start.

  Brandon was an excellent tech from the Timonium location! Came to my work and had the windshield replaced and recalibrated in about an hour or so. Explained the process and made it a smooth interaction from start to finish. Would definitely use Safelite again in the future

  Wow what an impressive service tech. My Safelite experience was fantastic. The tech showed up on time, replaced and calibrated the windshield faster than I thought possible. And then came back to replacr the wipers. So happy!
