  Avoid this, Mr. Tire! On Memorial Day, 2026, I called to request the cost of a transmission flush for my 2019 Hyundai Elantra, and a mechanic at the location told me it would be $180. The price seemed reasonable, so I brought my car in. The guy who gave me the price, I will refer to the black man in charge, as he was not wearing a name tag, but seemed in charge as he was working at the front desk and delegating tasks on a Monday morning. Confident in that estimate, I brought my vehicle in. About 30 minutes later, they started working on it, and the technician then claimed the cost would be $380. That price seemed very reasonable, and I felt outright ripped off. He offered a $50 discount, reducing the total to around $320. To make matters worse, he said they were out of transmission oil, which I had already purchased at a local auto parts store to save money. Clearly, this place tries to overcharge. If you value your hard-earned cash, do not come here!

  ⭐☆☆☆☆ I had a very disappointing experience at Mr. Tire on Pulaski Highway. I called ahead and scheduled a Maryland State Inspection appointment through the company’s call center. Based on that appointment, I arrived at the store at approximately 7:35 a.m. only to be told by the service advisor/manager that this location does not perform Maryland State Inspections. The frustrating part is that the store still has signage advertising Maryland State Inspections. When I pointed this out, I was told that the sign “needs to be updated.” If the service is no longer offered, customers should not be able to schedule appointments for it, and the advertising should be removed immediately. I also discovered that the call center and the local store do not appear to be on the same page. The call center scheduled me for a Maryland State Inspection, but when I arrived, the store told me they do not perform inspections. This indicates that the call center does not have accurate information about the services offered at individual locations, which leads to wasted time and frustration for customers. After leaving, I called the store to express my concerns and was transferred back to the same individual. Instead of receiving a professional response, I was met with what I felt was a dismissive and snarky attitude. Everyone makes mistakes, but how a business handles those mistakes matters. Wasting a customer’s time because of inaccurate advertising and poor communication is bad enough, but the customer service I received afterward made the experience even worse. I hope management addresses the misleading signage, improves communication between the call center and store locations, and provides better customer service so other customers do not have the same experience.
