I had previously had the windshield replaced and it flew out on the highway. I went with safelite because they were recommended by advanced auto part and I wanted service that would be guaranteed. But the technician and service was exceptional beyond my expectations

Replaced my glass, but could not reset my cameras he said I need to take it to Honda for them to do it. Looks great though and the guy was really nice and walked me through the process. The only real issue I had was the price.

The worst service and professionalism that I have received. I had my car serviced for a windshield replacement. During my service the technician cut the cord to my visible speaker and did not plug in my windshield wiper fluid pump, leaving me with an unfinished job. When I needed to use my windshield wiper fluid it was not working. I took my car to a shop to find out that the pump was never reconnected after my service and fluid had been pouring onto my engine. When I called Safelite and my insurance I was told that they took walk ins and to come in on 9/4. When I came in I was not acknowledged for 10 minutes until they told me they could not see me and an appointment was required. I came back on my appointment date on 9/9 and it took them 5-10 minutes to look at my car and tell me that they are not responsible for damaging any after market add ons. So they are able to damage anything they want as long as the car wasn't sold like that? The technician that day then told me that the manager would contact me regarding a refund for the bad service I was given. One week later and no call from the manager. I called back and after expressing my frustration with the poor service I was given and wasting my time The manager replied "Do you get a refund from the doctors for bad healthcare." All and all was a terrible service. Yes my glass is fixed but now I have 2 other issues to get fixed!
For reference my speaker was attached to the top left of my windshield. Very much visible and did not have to be cut.

I booked an appointment at the Derwood shop for a windshield replacement. Safelite's automated phone system assured me it would take an hour, but when I arrived, the technician told me my specific car would take three hours. I had to reschedule for the following Saturday (9/5) because I couldn't wait that long. When I dropped it off the next week, the three-hour timeline turned into an all-day ordeal. My car's app showed they didn’t even touch the vehicle until two hours after drop-off. Trying to get a live human on the phone to check the status was incredibly difficult. When I finally reached a national agent named Carlos at 3:15 PM to arrange an after-hours pickup (since I had plans and the shop closed at 5), he couldn't get the local shop to answer the phone either. He promised to call me back, but never did. Although a text eventually arrived at 3:30 PM saying the car was done, I couldn't get anyone on the phone to confirm a key handoff. I ended up picking my car up at 7:30 PM using my spare key. It's now Tuesday, and nobody from Safelite has even realized the car is gone, and they still have my main key.Automated customer service is fine for basic questions, but Safelite desperately needs a way for customers to speak directly to the local shop when things go sideways. Navigating a maze of automated prompts when you just need a quick, time-sensitive update makes for an incredibly stressful customer experience.
