- LPLexy P3 days ago1.0If I could give 0 stars I would. Customer service is absolutely non existent. “Manager” Malachi Knight is extremely rude. I went to return a can of auto a/c refrigerant that i didn’t use. Because the can didn’t “feel” the same weight to him as the cans on the shelf, he refused my return. The blue activation tab was still attached to the can. I asked him for the corporate number and his name. I called corporate and the representative handled the situation. She said i could go back and talk to a female general manager and get a store credit. But because they were also so nasty even to the corporate representative over the phone, the rep told me to not even go back to that store and if possible to go to the store i made the original purchase. I went to the original store and it was a seamless return process.

I realized I was given a faulty/used part when I went to a different auto store and they offered me the same exact gas cap that came with what seemed like extra parts like a teether attached. It was actually brand new and unused, unlike the one I was given from here. Horrible.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
