- NBNeil Brown5 days ago3.0Everybody there is super friendly and helpful. However, I've downloaded the Advance.Auto parts app and everything that they have a special on is out of stock and I mean, absolutely everything. This has happened to me several times with advanced auto parts. . My take? Is that they got me in the store, mission accomplished. However, I wish they would take things down once they say they're out of stock. So I'm not running down to the store with false hopes.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
