  Chris the manager was awesome! He quickly got me in and out. He alerted me of the issue and fixed it with appropriate recommendations going forward. Also he offered me additional services which was nice. Lastly he went through their tire inventory to explain the ratings on the tires and which ones would be a good choice for me.

  Ernie was very helpful and honest about the maintenance needed on my car. All of the staff were friendly. I was able to see the damage I caused on my brakes and rotors and get them fixed with a lifetime warranty! I also got my oil changed and was out within reasonable time. Very speedy. Very efficient.   From the day this location opened, it caught my attention during my daily commute. The building is exceptionally clean, professional, and stands out in the neighborhood. When I needed an oil change, tire rotation and balance, and wanted a few noises and some looseness in my car checked out, I decided to give them a try. From the moment I pulled in, Ernie greeted me outside, and that level of customer service set the tone for the entire experience. The mechanics were all young, energetic, and clearly enjoyed working together. You could tell there was a positive culture in the shop, but they were still focused and professional. The lead mechanic inspected my vehicle and honestly pointed out a few issues with my front suspension and struts. They weren’t trying to scare me or sell me on unnecessary work, they just wanted to make me aware of what they found. Ironically, they were the exact issues I already knew about and had planned to fix eventually. After seeing how straightforward and trustworthy the team was, I figured there was no reason to keep putting it off. I ordered the parts through them and scheduled the earliest appointment to replace the front suspension, struts, and perform an alignment. What impressed me most was that the team actively looked for coupons and discounts to lower my bill wherever they could. I genuinely felt like they cared about taking care of me instead of just maximizing the ticket. As a car owner, choosing a repair shop can be stressful, especially if you don’t know much about automotive repair. Unfortunately, there are shops that take advantage of that by pushing unnecessary work. I actually know my way around engines and vehicles, but I don’t have the tools or facilities to tackle bigger suspension work myself. I never mentioned any of that to the team. They treated me with honesty from the beginning, and they were genuinely surprised when my response to their recommendations was, “let’s just fix it now.” That reaction alone told me everything I needed to know. They weren’t expecting an easy sale, they were simply trying to do right by the customer. I’ll absolutely be coming back, and I’ll recommend this Mavis location to anyone looking for an honest, professional, and genuinely customer-focused shop. Great people, great service, and a team that’s earned my trust.

  I came in because I had a nail in my tire and wanted to see if it could be patched up. Ernie recognized that my tires had considerable dry rot and recommended replacing all four of them. He showed me the difference between the options that he had and thoroughly explained the replacement process. I really appreciated his positive attitude. I would definitely recommend Mavis Tires & Brakes if you’re in the Oxon Hill area.

  I had a great experience at Mavis Tires & Brakes for a wheel alignment. The service was fast and efficient, and I was back on the road much sooner than expected. The staff was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain the alignment process and answer my questions. I appreciated how informative they were and how they made sure I understood the work being done on my vehicle. Overall, excellent customer service and quality work. I would definitely recommend Mavis Tires & Brakes to anyone needing a wheel alignment or other automotive services.
