-Took my truck in on 08/03/2026 to drop off for a next day appointment. On 08/04/2026, was told it needed a rear differential and axel repair. Was asked about leaving the truck there-I asked how long it’d be. Was originally told end of week and that basically truck wasn’t safe to drive. So, I said I’d leave it..then was told in the same conversation that it’d be a couple days on parts and then working it in the schedule, so looking at the following Tuesday, actually. So, 08/11/2026. Didn’t hear anything on it, so my boyfriend called on 08/14/2026 to check on it and was told all the parts came in. Called again the week of the 17th and was told still waiting on parts. There were additional calls in here. Then finally on 08/24/2026, I called in to get an update and was told the truck is put together, but pick up in the morning would be better as it needed to sit overnight and then have a test run. Cool. Finally. Picked it up after 4:30pm. My boyfriend stopped and paid the deductible a little before 4:30pm, then met me for pick up to get it back to my house. Very shortly after leaving, realized the windows up front don’t work, AC doesn’t work, dash lights on for tire pressure and airbag, volume for the radio doesn’t work, and so we turn it around and take it right back to the dealership within minutes of picking it up. It closed at 4:30, so nobody to talk to about it. Go to lock the truck to drop off the keys. Truck also doesn’t lock anymore! He did talk to a salesman inside who took some notes to give to the repair dept. How do all these things that worked fine when it was dropped off on 08/03/2026, but don’t work today, passes a test run? I also took this same truck in months ago for another issue and upon Timbrook in Oakland fixing it, it also ended right back up at the dealership very shortly after pick up for another issue that wasn’t there at drop off. The truck shouldn’t need returned to the lot within 10 minutes of pick up due to additional issues that weren’t there before. I despise leaving bad reviews, but I am very dissatisfied with Timbrook in Oakland both times I had my truck there. Update: Found out that apparently rodents got in the truck and chewed some wires. Guy told me that “IF” all those things worked before, it still wasn’t their responsibility that rodents got in. “IF”. Like the radio BLARING wasn’t there when we dropped it off, but when we picked it up, it was and we couldn’t turn it down. Didn’t catch that on a test run? Yall don’t check dash lights? Cause there were none on before. My truck sat on their lot from 08/03-08/25 and when we picked it up, all those things not working. Wild to tell me “IF” they were working before. I’ve never owned a vehicle that wasn’t a Ford, but I won’t ever be buying another Ford again. Five vehicles I’ve bought from Ford, some of which were brand new, and my experience with this Ford dealership is enough to turn me away from Ford altogether. Timbrook is fixing this issue because my insurance is covering it, but I also won’t be returning to them on the current Ford vehicles I have. “IF” they worked before. I’m disgusted with the insinuation all this was done before and I lied about it working! Radio is always turned off when we pick it up and the doors locked-neither of those things this time because they didn’t work. But they DID when I dropped it off on 08/03. 0/10-I do NOT recommend Timbrook Ford in Oakland.

We have only bought one vehicle from them about 5 years ago, but that all went smoothly. The recent event the inspired this review was a service issue. We have been in a very tight financial situation for a little while now, and the vehicle we bought went haywire on us. MANY symptoms. No: dash controls (NOTHING), AC controls, blinkers, high-beams, power steering, windshield wipers, etc... plus a constant power draw that way killing the battery within a half to full day. We worked with local mechanics to try to resolve the problem as we were REALLY avoiding going to the dealer as it was out of warranty and our experiences with other dealer in the area had proved to us that they would rake us over the coals for every thing they could charge us for and we just didn't have the money to deal with that. After replacing the battery, alternator, and another part - checking all the fuses, internet searches, AI discussions, etc... It was still in the same situation. The last resort was the dealer as the local shops had no more ideas of what to do to get it working right. We broke down and limped it over to Timbrook for an appointment we setup. They had already pulled reports data from the car that is uploaded to their systems before we even got there. The tech listened carefully to everything that had been done, symptoms, patterns I had seen, etc... He worked through the huge report and noticed something on there that correlated with the information I had given him - pointed in a direction to root into. It was a multi-network breakdown - not just one control module (there are many on these cars now days). He discussed it with another tech who recognized a pattern they had seen before - the remote start module! They way that the 3rd party remote start module interconnects into the system - it puts itself in the communications pathway of multiple control modules/networks and when they fail - can cause multi-network - multi-control module breakdowns - including drawing down the battery while off. They simply pulled out the aftermarket remote start module - and everything came up! A few tweaks later and it was good as new! On top of that - we still had Ford Points from buying the car and some oils changes and such and it fully cover the charges they made. They didn't jack me around with every fee they could come up with and kept the charges very minimal. Possible to help as they knew out situation. Had I taken it here in the first place - it would have saved us weeks and hundreds of dollars. BUT, I also KNOW that other dealers would have cost us a lot more - just in insane initial diagnostic fees before even touching anything. I was worried we would end up with our car stuck there until we could figure out how to pay for the repairs - and instead came out a couple of hours later with our car working again after being down for over a month! I'm VERY pleased with the Service Department there and the tech that worked on it for us. He was a good listener and applied what he had heard with the attention to details that solved the problem quickly with the added experience of the other tech that he consulted instead of just digging around. I'll not make that mistake again next time there are any issues.
