Waited 20 minutes for someone to even come out from the back WITH an appointment. The person who “helped” was extremely condescending and tried to gouge me with unheard of prices.

Sadly this is the second bad experience i had with this shop. We have 4 cars in my household and live less the 1/2 a block away. One day i arrived home and heard my tire hissing so i drove a half a block away to this shop. He refused to repair the tire because he said I rode the tire empty and damaged it. I explained several time the tire had air and emptied out while i went in. He refused to the repair yelled at me that he is a professional and knows better than me. I asked him to fix the tire and if it is no good I would buy a new one and pay for the repair. He continued to refuse while yelling at me. I then went and changed the tire and took it to the local gas station for a $30 repair and have been driving it for over one month.
Clearly the professional was very unprofessional for yelling at me and worse his opinion about the tire was invalid as he could not listen to me.
He preferred changing a good tire vs fixing it. Whether it was cost of service and equipment that motivated his attitude or greed, I will never again return to spend my dollars there. Over the last three years I have spent over $3100 there, never again.

I took my car to the Mr Tire for Oil and Filter change. The store rep. was new and had to ask the technician how to print out the work order. Then had to call main office on how to do it.
After it was finally done. The technician to my car. I had asked if they would take off the left front tire and check why there was a scraping noise coming out of it. Also asked once the car was on the lift with the wheel was if I could come out and look at it. Advised the noise was getting worse over the last 20k miles. They said could after I told them was a retired Master Technician and told them I only had a floor jack at home but felt it would been safer to checkout the noise on the lift since it was going to be on it for the oil change. They were nice and agreed. The technician never came out to get me after the car was in the air and wheel was off. He came to me after the oil change was done and the car was pulled out and was in the front parking lot. Asked him why he didn't come to me and the was on the lift. He mumbled something and I asked about the noise.
He took out a small flashlight and shined in in threw the mag wheel hole and told me I needed new brakes. I told him you can not see the brakes that way. You can not the pads clearly. I also requested if would put it back on the lift for me and take the left wheel off. I also took I don't think the are bad and the noise is from the rotor splash shield is hitting the rotor.
He pulled car back in after the third time I asked because I wanted to see the brakes since had had them done less than 10 thousand miles ago.
He came and get me the car was safely on the lift and wheel was off. I went out and looked at the brakes and they had more than half the pads left and the rotor smooth. I told the technician that I do not need the brakes done after using his flashlight. Then looked at the slash shield and it was rubbing on the rotor. Asked if I could medium to large standard screwdriver. He was nice enough to give me one. I placed it behind the rotor bent shield out from the rotor 1/4 of an inch and spun the rotor and the noise was fixed.
I was talking to the other tech there and Advised him he should keep an eye out for the other tech. I Advised him he is overselling and it is bad for his shop. A good shop reputation is to easy to lose.

**TL;DR:** Mr. Tire replaced my front struts, and about two years later Mazda documented that the struts were not seated properly in the steering knuckles and contributed to axle issues. When I brought it up, the initial store-level response did not inspire confidence.
**Update 5/15/2026:** Separately from the store-level email exchange, Mr. Tire’s corporate liability insurance carrier reached out to me, reviewed the Mazda documentation, and we were able to come to a resolution. I am satisfied with that final outcome.
For context, around the same time I had also requested monetary compensation from the store, and the store-level response from **Chris Middler** was: “Robin we can do the repairs as I mentioned thats the only resolution I'm offering we're not paying out any money and I'm doing this as a courtesy. The struts are really out of the warranty range I'm offering the repairs as a courtesy that is all I'm offering.”
I am sharing that response because it reflects my frustration with the store-level handling of the issue. The final resolution came through the corporate liability insurance process, not from the store-level response.
******* My Original Post:
I had my front struts replaced at this Mr. Tire location about two years ago. Recently, after dealing with ongoing driving issues, I took the car to Heritage Mazda Towson for an inspection. Mazda documented that the front struts were not seated properly in the steering knuckles, and that both axles were leaking due to overextended angles from the improperly installed front struts.
At that point, I was trying to understand whether a prior suspension repair had created more problems than it solved.
When I contacted the store, I felt like the concern was brushed off rather than taken seriously. Given that this involved suspension components and safety, I expected a more careful response.
I asked the store manager to formally review the prior work, provide the original service record, confirm parts/warranty information, and explain what they were willing to do to inspect or address the issue.

I showed up 5 minutes before open to get my tire patched for my scheduled 7:30 appointment. I was told “we’re not open” despite the open sign light up on the door. So I waited the 5 minutes in the car and went in at 7:30 (not a big deal) I was the told it’s going to be a while because his guys don’t get there until 8:00. When I asked why my appointment was scheduled at 7:30 then I was told “I don’t know I didn’t schedule it”. I went down the street to Firestone and they had it patched for me quickly, without an appointment and were VERY FRIENDLY. Good customer service goes a long way and that place doesn’t have it.
