I visited the auto shop for a quick oil change, but the reception mechanic suggested that I also get coolant replacement, transmission oil replacement, and fuel injector cleaning done. Since I was on a tight schedule, driving from Maryland to Kentucky that day, I asked him how long the entire process would take. He assured me that it would only take 10 minutes at most. After confirming my agreement, the reception mechanic informed me that they couldn’t perform the transmission oil replacement and would focus on the other three services instead. I paid for the three mentioned services, and they began their maintenance. However, at that point, I noticed that everyone involved seemed confused and was searching for something in my car. The process took an unusually long time. The manager then arrived and informed me that they had lost the car engine oil cap. He asked me to put the car in neutral so they can push the car out of the garage without turning the engine on. After I that request I noticed the engine oil cap on the reception computer table. I showed it to them, and they instructed me to leave the garage because they hadn’t finished the fuel system cleaning and coolant replacement. I drove out of the garage. A mechanic arrived with a machine for coolant replacement and began the procedure. However, due to the previous bad incident, I felt uncomfortable and started observing everything closely. That’s when I noticed that the waste hose wasn’t sucking anything during the coolant removal procedure . Even though he didn’t add coolant he tried to add coolant by making me idle the engine and turn on the fan, I didn’t want to bother the mechanic, so I informed the reception mechanic about the issue. He tried to convince me, but I explained everything in detail. Finally, he was professional enough to get it done by a new mechanic. After the new mechanic arrived, I noticed how the machine vacuumed the old coolant, and I was certain it wasn’t done correctly on the first attempt. After the suction was completed, the mechanic left, and the manager came. He simply poured a small amount of coolant on the radiator cap opening and declared it done. I inquired if that was all, and when I was about to ask if he wouldn’t idle the engine, he rudely snapped at me, saying he had worked on this job for 10 or 20 years. I don’t recall then that I was causing his staff any distress by observing them doing their jobs. I had enough and checked if they had actually serviced the engine oil cause i doubted that as well and confirmed it had a clean oil. When I tried to leave, the maintenance required light was on, so I had to call them and ask them to reset the light. What was supposed to be a 10 minutes job as per the receptionist mechanic it took more or less an hour and 30 minutes. I might go to other branch but not that.
